2013-14 NFL Playoff Survivor Pool BIF

I am looking to get a BIF going for this year’s NFL Playoffs. It will consist of 12 BA members (one being myself) who will have one NFL team randomly selected that they will keep through the entirety of the playoffs. Boxes are awarded each round with a special bottle prize to the Super Bowl winner at the end of the BIF. Here are the details:

Team Selection: I will compose a list of the first 11 BA users who BM me that they would like to participate in the BIF. If you are the first person to inquire, you are Team 1. The second person is Team 2 and so on and so forth. I will be Team 12 to make things easier. Once the playoff seeds are finalized, I will post a video from YouTube into this BIF thread showing me putting each of the 12 NFL playoff teams in a hat, and then drawing the NFL team names. Team 1 will have the first NFL team drawn from the hat. Team 2 will have the second NFL team drawn, and you get the idea.

Matchups: I thought in order for people to have a better chance at winning boxes, we do head to head matchups for each Round. For example, in the wildcard matchup between the #3 NFL seed and the #6 NFL seed, if you are the team owner of the winning team, you win a box from the losing team owner and advance to the next round. So if your team is a #3-#6 seed in the playoffs you have a chance at winning 4 boxes. The #1 and #2 seeds have a chance to win 3 boxes since they are going to be more favored to advance to the further rounds. If you lose, you send your opponent (1) box and the Super Bowl winner (1) bottle.

The Beer: 80oz minimum of good quality, local/not widely distributed beer that you enjoy drinking. You may add anything that you deem more worthy than a local beer if you wish, but that is at your discretion. The Super Bowl winner will receive (1) larger format bottle from the other 11 participants that are rated 90 or higher. Or (1) 12oz or less bottle rated 95 or higher, the choice is yours.

The good thing about this BIF is you have a chance to win up to 4 boxes, but only risk losing one box and one bottle. If a lot of people show interest in this than another separate thread can be created.

Haha, I can respect that. Since I already have the rules established, if everyone agrees your suggestion is a better system/more fun we can change it. But if people want to keep it the same as listed on my 1st post we will keep it at that. I will send out BMs to the other teams and will ask.

*UPDATE*

Team Selection: It seems everyone is ok with the blind draw for draft positions, so here are the details. On Tuesday 12/31 I will post a video from YouTube in this thread showing me putting the 12 usernames into a hat. Then I will draw a username one by one. The first username drawn can choose any team they wish for the entirety of the playoffs. Second username picks the second team and so on. Once the video is posted, whoever has the first pick, please post in this thread so all can see. Once the first team is picked, the 2nd team posts and so on. Best of luck,
