Has anyone seen the 2013 Hallertauer hop crop in the US yet? If it's not available yet, does anyone know when it will be?
Hops Direct has domestic leaves. As for the real thing, no one seems to have German Hallertau in any form, except last year's crop.
Dave, it is my recollection that European grown hops do not become available to homebrewers until very late of the season (December) and more likely the beginning of the next year (January/February). Below is a post from the AHA forum which is consistent with my recollection: “Hopsdirect usually starts pelletizing around the beginning of November and releasing as they become available through the remainder of the year, then the imports start showing up at the end of December/beginning of Jan, at least that's how it’s been in years past.” Cheers!
