Looking to do a tasting and have a 2013 huna and wondering if I should try to get a fresh 2015 bottle. For those who had a 2013 Huna recently. What do you think of it? How does it compare to 2015 Huna? Has the flavor fades a lot?
I haven't had a 2013 Huna recently but we broke open a 2012 recently & it was great. The heat has definitely faded some, but there's no doubt that it's still there. It wasn't quite the ass-kicker it is fresh, but still a great beer. And yes, you should try to get a fresh bottle of 2015. We did a 2010 - 2013 vertical & it was great fun. The 2012, which at that point was 16-18 months old, won hands down.
