I didn't want to agree, but...

Definitely a decrease in something....gotta agree with Catfish on his assessment.

I also hope it is at ABR...might help reduce the lines elsewhere.
And hopefully much better off the tap.

It's not just you. Something is missing, it's just not quite the same beer that it was.

Really? To me, hop variety is the most easily identifiable characteristic of a beer, and I happen to really love citra.

Sorry to hear about your jimmies.

I agree. I tend to really enjoy most of the C hops, but Citra hits the spot for me. PseudoSue... Citra Ninja... Zombie Dust... these are the beers that turn my crank.

This year I think they used hops from Michigan. Midwestern hops have always seemed weaker to me, it may be all mental but hops grown on the west coast have always been more enjoyable and potent, while Midwestern hops are more passive and less aggressive (similar to the populous).

Either way ill get a 4 pack and decide for myself.

I wouldn't say the Midwestern hops are weaker or less potent; but they do tend to take on more of a conifer/herbal/"no coast" characteristic. Different hop species thrive in different parts of the world in different ways.

PseudoSue is quite possibly my favorite beer.

I was unable to find any Wet in the south burbs. The local shop next to my office said weds or thursday, but I didnt see Fest on their shelf, so hopefully they werent talking about that. (sometimes i do not understand how the liquor store BUYERS dont know what they are getting)

I have driven to hudson to get growlers of Psuedo Sue multiple times, no shame.

I agree. Also love me some citra. I was more referring to comparing a flavor of a current beer to a flavor of a beer consumed two years ago. At best we're looking at a wildly inaccurate comparison for a variety of reasons (not the least of which being the rosy view).

But hey, let's agree on citra. Fucking deliciousness. Pseudosue is just fantastic. Have yet to get my hands on some ZD.

How did this turn into a citra hop circle jerk?

:sunglasses: Because people were talking about how they liked previous iterations better, then some people decided that no one can remember hop varieties from two years ago.

Princeton's Liquors has it, limit one 4 pack per person.

@SurlyTaproom tweeted that they will be pouring Wet starting tomorrow.

This thread seems to be missing: "is it ready yet?," "it will be ready, when it's ready.," and "saga is a better beer for its price point.."

I just saw that. Guess I'm not getting any Wet this year unless Haskell's sells it online.
