2014 Backwoods

$11.99/4 here in Durham. I was surprised given all the chatter about higher prices this year. Bought two 4 packs (the limit) and walked out a happy man. Great beer.

 

Crazy. I live just outside of Philadelphia and I got my last cases (plural) of Backwoods Bastard after March of this year.

 

Snagged four 4-packs at my local bottle shop, $11.99 per. Apparently SC got a large allotment, as the store I got it from had 9 cases.

 

Still waiting on word on when it will hit northern Virginia/ DC. A couple bottle shops I checked with said it may not hit until sometime in the middle of November.

 

Got (2) 4pks at lunch; $12.99 and $13.99.

 

Just picked this up in Durham at Sams Bottle Shop for $11.99/4-pack. There's a 1 4-pack limit and it looked like they had about 7 of them left.

 

Ann Arbor. My understanding is that most places are receiving it today if they didn't get it Saturday.

 

Did demand for this beer increase 10 fold or what this year? The brewery ran out in less than a day this year. 2 years ago they had it up until Thanksgiving and last year they had it a couple weeks. Maybe Founders just shipped more beer out this year?

 

Right, larger distribution. Are they bottling more at Founders?

 

Backwoods just hit shops in my area today, fingers crossed that I'll get there in time this evening.

 

Princeton's in Maple Grove. I am guessing they are sold out of both.

 

$15.99 in Ann Arbor for me, limit 1 4pk.

 

Not this year. Expect more like $87 (my sources say).

 

Wow. That's a huge hike. Still...what's that? $3.50 a bottle? Little more? I'd sit down to a 12 oz. serving of world class bourbon barrel aged scotch ale all goddamned day.

 

Scored the last 4-pack at my normal spot and then saw it 1-per person for $3.99 apiece at another place. Laughed and went about my way, happy with my 4.

 

Any sightings in vermont yet?! Going there this weekend, my hopes are high!

 

$15.99 at Jungle Jims in Cincy - limit 1 4pk. Also picked one up at O'Bryans on Montgomery at the same price and limit.

 

I got 2 four packs at Wegmans in Erie (peach street) today. 12.99 each. If anyone in the area is looking.

 

Stopped by about 2:30 and there appeared to be 3 or 4 cases behind the counter.

Also know that the Barrel & Bottle got some in, but they were marking it up to $5.59 per bottle. Limit two bottles a person.
