where in dallas? I picked up for 13.99, limit one 4 pack. Whole foods told me they weren't able to receive today because of a "UPC error" and to check back Friday.

Was able to procure a case at both the Beer Yard ($86.56 + tax) in Wayne, PA, and Moore Beverage ($90 + tax) down near Tony Luke's in the city. Also of note...Moore has a half barrel of this for $439.99....for you diehard enthusiasts.

So Founders lied and released it 10/31 at the brewery instead of 11/3 like they said before?

Not quite, Nov3 was the national distro release date. They openly announced via social media that they were releasing BB @ the company store on 10/31 as a gesture for the locals.

Questioned a rep I ran into last night - in warehouse now, but won't roll it out until beginning of next week. I think we have the same distro in central VA as NoVA for Founders.

It's probably hard to compare prices between states to some degree. I'm not familiar with taxation but I know with liquor I always stock up when I'm out of state because prices are much better (at least in Ohio and Missouri compared to Michigan). That said, there's a fair amount of gougery going on in Livingston county. I had Tuesday off work and was planning a drive over to the brewery for my 2 cases....until I called Monday night and they had sold all 6 pallets of the allotment for the General store. I could only find 2 stores in the area with it. First had 5 cases selling limit of 1 4-pack for $18.99 each. Other store had 1 case that they didn't know they had, had never sold it before so didn't know what to price it at, so said $15.99 for 4-pack. I would have gladly picked up 2 cases at Founders for the $83 each compared to what I'm seeing.

I had the opportunity to try a 4-year vertical last night (2011-2014). The 2011 was past its' prime, I got tartness from it that was not present in the other vintages that I had. 2014 is great, but could use some mellowing IMHO - the taste is great but the bourbon aroma is a little overpowering. 2012 and 2013 were fantastic.

On an unrelated note, I also got to have some Bolt Cutter again, and it was delicious. I am really wishing I had saved another bottle :slight_frown:
