2014 Backwoods

While taxes on alcohol in TN are close to the highest in the country, I'm not sure that's the only problem where I live because Backwoods can be found in Nashville for $16 and in East TN it's never under $20!

 

Anyone in the Williamsburg/Newport News/Hampton/Yorktown, VA area see this pop up yet?

 

Come and gone at Total Wine. World Market had some last year, maybe try them?

 

Was able to pick up two four packs for $11.99 each. Tastes awesome!

 

I'm very grateful to Founders for making/sending so much of this stuff my way this year. I have been unable to get this beer the past 2 years, but this year it's stacked up in my bottle shop like firewood. I'm stocking up on it in case there's another famine.

Yep, good stuff. I found another supply in Brighton MI last night if you Michiganders missed out on getting any. $20/4 pack. I passed at that price. You should too. Tired of getting gouged by the local stores. Let 'em sit on it a while. They also had Big Lushious for $20/bottle. No thanks.

 

I was lucky enough to find BB this year! It was easy to find this year and have gone through a couple four packs this year With that being said I would pass on it at $20/4 as well. That is ridiculous. I picked up another pack at my store last night for the highest price I paid this year $12.99

 

If anyone is still looking for this let me know because it is everywhere around me and I don't mind doing a favor for a fellow BA

 

anyone think this has a rum and coke twang to it?

maybe I drank it to warm

 

I don't see the rum and coke but I like to let the beer warm up a bit. I find that if it is normal fridge cold it is too "alcoholic" I think if it gets too warm like room temp warm it changes to a point where I don't like it as much.

 

There's at least two cases left on the shelf at the store I go to. Think it's like $12

 

Very thin and artificial tasting this year

 

Just bought the last 4 pack at my local shop here in NY. Distributor said it was the last one they had in inventory too. Feels like I stole something.

 

Yea I got the same taste but it got better as it got warmer

This is one that definitely needs to sit for a few. I bought a case a few months ago, and was pretty hot. Just tried again a few days ago, and i fell deeply in love!

 

I have this if any fellow BA are in need
