Recently had a '07 BCBS - not great. I wouldn't age BCBS or BCBBW any more than 5 years and definitely wouldn't age the fruited, coffee or vanilla variants. Cheers

Funny, i just had an 07 back on jan-18th. Side by side with a 14 and i thought the 07 was great. Now i never had one fresh. But it was very smooth and balanced. Flavors blending nicely. However, it didnt blow me away by any means. But im not going to hesitate keeping one for 10 years. Nothing i could tell had fallen off on the 07, no off flavors either. Flat yes!

Bells Expedition, Seirra Nevada Bigfoot, and North Coast Old stock Ale are also nice choices that age magnificently for long time and are readily available in most beer distro footprints.

I had a 2 year old one recently and it was fantastic. According to the brewery, prime is 3-4years

As to the original question I agree with a number here. as far as past 5 years, Expedition, JW lees, third coast...
Also im surprised no one has mentioned Olde School

I don't think I have the will power to hold on to a beer like that for that long!
