DELICIOUS, because Bigfoot is ALWAYS drinking DELICIOUS.

Depends on what you like though. Fresher is more hoppy, while the older it gets, the more the dark fruit flavors come out and the carbonation decreases, giving an overall smoother profile. Feel free to drink now, a year ago, or five years from now.

Another good idea is to get 2015 Bigfoot, and drink them side-by-side to see how they compare and what you like better.

Last summer I did a 5 year vertical. With the exception of one year (the '11 I think), they were all remarkably similar. Sure there were minor differences (especially in aroma, which is not big to begin with), but the general hop bitterness/flavors were pretty consistent! In terms of aging this beer, I'd say do it if you have enough to do a vertical, just to see the differences. But if not, don't feel bad for drinking whatever you have now. IMO it doesn't get remarkably better, just different.

If you like Imperial IPAs, drink it fresh, because that's what it is fresh. Less hops, you have to shoot for five years minimum, and then it's oxidized. We did a vertical a few months back 2013 down to 1998. Just over five years and it's straight cardboard.

The '09 and '10 aren't accounted for. I'll excuse you if you wrote this just after the 5 beers.

I've got one '13, seven '14's, and eight '15's at the moment. Probably will do side by side with 14 and 15 soon. I think I'll hold on to the '13 until I have a 4 or 5 year vertical though since I've just got the one.

I started keeping one every year since '12. my son was born that year, my goal is to have one from every year until he turns 21, then on his 21st birthday, share the '12 with him, not sure what i'm going to do with the rest, have a massive vertical someday i guess.

Had a 2014 yesterday and it was drinking great. Hops had faded off enough and the malts/fruits really coming forward.

Unfortunately I drank myself out of the 09 and 10 (back in 09 and 10)... either lack of judgement/discipline or they must have just been too good to save!

Edit: oh and just picked up my first 4-pack of the 15 today. Haven't had any yet but I expect I'll get a couple more 4-packs before they disappear (not too worried, they usually hang around for months in the Chicago area).
