Got four Saturday and tried the Session Whiskey Ginger on tap which was pretty nice for a session ale. Haven't cracked the bottles yet. I've missed Splinters on tap several times and am really glad to finally get a chance to try it.
Looks like Chuck's CD has it on tap too. I've been wanting to try it for years and kept missing out. Almost forgot about it again!
Gone today. BTW - their website has been much improved in recent months and now lists what's on tap, whether they're doing growler fills, and whether they have bottles. This is where I saw that there are no more bottles.
Their website is 10x better now. I shared a couple of the Splinters this weekend and everyone agreed they were excellent. Definitely not as sweet as some of the FW or Avery barrel aged - which is nice on a hot day. Very warming - definitely get the bourbon effect. Glad I made the trip to get a few.
This ^^. The best and easiest to use feature any brewery webpage I've seen to see what's available. Well done and apparently very frequently updated.
