2014 Bourbon County Brands release - Chicagoland

I am planning to call them today. Trying to determine if I'll go there or Buffalo - I'm thinking BG will be more crowded just based on the fact that they have a Twitter handle. Last year I was at BG around 7:15 and I was 10th in line I believe. 2012 I remember just going to LZ right as they opened, and there was a small line - but I'm sure that holds no bearing to how this year will be.

 

Funny, I don't consider Clark & Diversey Bucktown.

 

Did I miss something, or did Bucktown move to east Lakeview?

 

Sadly, I'm at the point now that all the time chasing this just equals money that I might as well give some d-bag on Craigslist selling it.

 

Totally agree with that. It was a little unorganized at first but I was able to secure my full allotment and get pours of just about everything on tap. IIRC, they were allocating full 4packs of coffee to the first "x" amount of people and then they realized they didn't have enough coffee for everyone so most people got shut out on that.

 

Yup, that Walgreens is at North/Damen/Milwaukee.

 

That all depends on where you live and how much you're looking to get. It's very possible to get 2-4packs of everything and 2 bombers of each variant just by hitting 2 stores.

 

Sadly, not where I live (inner Western burbs). By way of example, I went to my local beer shop last night, and the guy pulled out a wait list that was literally 65 people deep, when the store will probably only get 2-3 cases of regular and no variants.

I suppose it is possible to hunt down and find those two stores, but at that point it kind of underscores my point about the time factor.

 

Now I'm confused....are we talking about the Walgreens in Lakeview at 2817 Clark or the Walgreens in Bucktown??

 

Any word on Naperville or Bollingbrook Binny's?

Naperville is first come, first serve. Sales start at 9am on Black Friday. No allotments yet.

 

The line at the Naperville location started shortly before 7:00 AM last year.

 

Does anyone know Arlington Heights Binnys allotment?

No midnight release for Capones per their Facebook. Would copy the info but i can't on my phone

 

I was at Naperville last year, you had to choose between Props and Backyard you couldn't get both. I'm not sure if it will be the same this year, but with lower allocations it's possible.

 

From Capones Facebook, doesn't say if they are or aren't getting it. Just no midnight release.

Hope you guys are gearing up for the holiday weekend! We will be open normal hours from 9am-Midnight today & Thanksgiving Day! Do to reasons beyond our control there will be no midnight release of Goose Island Beer Co. BCS this year. We are very disappointed as well. Wishing everyone a safe & thankful holiday!
