If you want to keep this thread alive that wouldn't be a good idea. That thread was shut down really fast.

I live in the suburbs dude, that probably has something to do with it. The Bourbon County tap takeovers are mainly in Chicago and it's not an easy trip for me. I do use beermenus as well and these are the "guilty" parties I'm referencing. On the Rocks in Roselle hosted one just last night. The bombers of Prop and Vanilla were $50. A bottle of coffee was $15 and 10oz drafts of BCBS were $14. If any bars close to me (Roselle is about 30 minutes) hosted a tap takeover I'd be there in a minute, but again, those mainly only pop up in the city.

I live in the Schaumburg area. Its not that hard to get into and around the city.

Wait was it a thread or a message on facebook? If it was a thread can someone provide a link?

Private FB group. Besides, all the info about what happened is already in this thread. I dont get the fixation on this incident. Do you all need someone to focus your anger on? The name of the person who spoke to the manager is not given. After that point a lot of people showed up to buy beer by the case. A lot

Just curious because I was there, and people were referencing someone defending it, so all of the information has not been posted here. They sold this stuff by the case and you don't get the fixation? There were 20 people in line at 2am outside of whole foods to buy one bottle...

Yeah, the store fucked up, but why the fixation on who the recipients were?

I never asked who was there, only what was said.

Well for that, you need to find the 1 guy who talked the manager into it. The person not from Chicago or even the state, and I don't know his/her name. In the end, what does it matter. Store fucked up, people took advantage of it.

Sorry, I should have clarified, I should not have said it's hard to get to the city. I should have stated it's hard for me to get to the city when I want to, because of work.

I'm not sure how much they have, but I picked up some regular and some barleywine at Galaria Liquors on Southport. Beware, $10 per bottle.

"I think the days of M&P shops having close, personal relation with GI is numbered." -mdomask

If the owners of my regular local spots I've talked to are any indication of the way the majority of these M&Ps feel, this is completely true. Sorry...I'm an idiot and don't know how to properly embed other people's comments.

    Also...BLUE GENE!!!!

What if you're a regular at store but you're disabled and can't wait in line?

Should the store reserve some for you?

BTW- this is not a "George Costanza scheme", but a legit question.
