Oh nice. I like their new font designs. Good stuff and still classic SN.

A store near me must have found a case "in the back" or something because 2013 Celebration appeared in their pick 6 selection. I bought two bottles. Even after a year it's still pretty good. I'm keeping one of the bottles as long as I can. 5 year vertical anyone? :grimacing:

Today walked into local bottle shop and:

    Celebration--as good as always
Great Divide Fresh Hop Pale Ale
    SN Harvest Wet Hop
    Founders Harvest Ale
10 day old Sculpin now down to $14 with new distributor

An enjoyable beer for sure but I never quite understood the hype that goes along with it and I never found it to be overly different than SN's other hoppy beers.

I think I like the 2013 label better. Looks classier.

I'll have my fix of Harvest Ale this weekend leaving only this gem to buy once it arrives. My how I love my Celebration!

Now, only if I can keep my sister's boyfriend from grabbing my last 2 out of the fridge like he did last year. I guess he didn't think his Bud Light was superior after all.

Cellaring Celebration doesn't make it better, just makes it different. Cellaring doesn't work with the newest beers named IPA, but Celebration isn't one of those. It's almost like a light October ale with Am. hops, ok Bigfoot would be the light October ale, Celebration is a really light one.

Maltier than most IPAs, made with the best hops after the harvest. That's how the description of an October ale would start

I've wanted to live in that cabin since I first saw it. With a big supply of Celebration

Celebration is the only SN beer I buy with any regularity, when its available of course. Can't wait to grab some, still not in NC yet :slight_frown:

It is in NC, I picked up some in Greensboro yesterday. Use the SN beer locator to see if there's some near you.

This Celebration thread isn't near as funny as last year's. There seems to be an underlying bitterness. And yet, I still find it enjoyable, even though it needs to be canned.

My favorite thread of the year. Really puts me in the holiday spirit. Can't wait for the beer to land around here too!

I don't disagree, but that argument should also hold true for just about any IPA over time.

Best guess... Pellets and the slow feathering in of the newly harvested hops. Not too many beers besides "wet" hop beers feature 100% new crop.

How about some Celebration Ale in 12oz or 16oz. cans @sierranevadabill ? That would be very cool especially for fall tailgating purposes....
