    OK, we're all thinking the same thing: where is Darkness popping up on tap? I'm terribly curious to find out if there's a marked difference between tap & bottle, so please, post up where kegs start hitting around the state.

    Very few kegs are aged, most will be normal Darkness.

    I wonder how much $ the Buffalo tap will charge. I remember last winter they were charging $1 per ounce ($12) for regular Ten Fidy.

    I think he means the Darkness on tap will not be barrel aged.

    Barrel aged. To the original question, (most) draft will taste quite different than the bottles.

    Perfect, I'll be there! I'm going to assume the kegs showing up are the BA version until they prove to be otherwise.

    Oh, I see. I guess I thought that all of the Darkness this year was blended with the barrel aged Darkness. So just the bottles are blended with the barrel aged beer?

    Bottles are 100% barrel aged. Not a blend

    Also Surly Darkness night at Pizza Luce the day before in Minneapolis.

    I'm pretty sure Omar told me all the bottles and kegs were ba. They had a few non ba kegs at d day, but I think the non ba will be tough to find.

    2014 Darkness is barrel aged. Period. If they have it on tap somewhere as "2014 Darkness" they should specify "non barrel aged", "dry hopped", "base beer", etc...if its not the full beer.

    I'd love to try the "non barrel aged" 2014 base imperial stout. I'm curious if they changed the recipe knowing it would be going in barrels.

    Well, I don't know who is & who isn't talking out their ass, but I'll be happy to find out if that keg in Eagan is barrel-aged or not tomorrow night!

    10/30 - Pizza Luce DT @ 5 pm - Darkness, Damien, Devil's Work, Todd the Axe Man

    10/31 - Bulldog NE @ 5 pm - Darkness and 4 others including Long of Tooth.

    Also: 10/31 @ New Bohemia @ 5 pm - Evil Twin Stout Takeover. I Love You With My Stout, Even More Jesus, Ashtray Heart, Lil B, Yin & Yang, and Yin will be tapped.
