2014 Double DBA (NJ/ Philly) - any word?

Seems like the answer to any FW related question in NJ is always a resounding "Who the hell knows?"

 

If you're still looking...I saw it at Bottle Bar East in Fishtown, Phila. last week for $20 I believe.

 

I'm pretty sure i saw it in the greeks next door in Narberth PA just outside of Philly just yesterday. I would call to double check though

 

Came last week here in south Jersey. Pretty much gone within the week but most places only got 1 case.

 

Did NJ ever see stickee monkey. Fucking Firestone in NJ blows anymore!

 

Saw it last week at whole foods @14.99$. Passed on it and it was not there when I returned yesterday.

DDBA was dropped quietly maybe three weeks ago, and it disappeared just as quick as it was put up. I lucked into a single bottle.

 

Was Firestone ever good in NJ? I can't remember it ever being good...

 

Stickee Monkey never made it to Cape May County, the two stores that get one case of every limited release will hold one bottle for me, and they never saw it, asking for it over and over scored myself another bottle of parabola though.

 

They weren't this bad. Stores would get 12 bottles of stuff. Abacus/Sucaba sat on shelves. It's a cross between more demand and Firestone going into new markets each couple years spreading themselves thinner to get a wider spread across the US. Oh well it's not hard stuff to trade for with Cali peeps so it can be had still, just stinks to possibly have to go that route to enjoy their beer when they distro to your state.

 

Has Stikee Monkee hit the philly market yet? Or has it come and gone like many of the other fw limited releases?

Local 44 had it about two weeks ago. I offered to swing by and grab one for a buddy, but when he called, he was told it was Sold Out. I imagine the usually suspects received their allotments as well.

All Proprietors Vintage 22oz bottles went to 6 bottle cases this year from FW. So basically they halved their allocation per state. No more cases were brought into NJ then last year, but the cases were 1/2 of what they were last year.

Kinda sucks... but that's how FW plans to get hype. Instead of DDBA and Sucaba sitting on shelves, they are bought up quick by the people who love them; and reviewed highly b/c only the people who know they like them are going through the effort to buy them.

 

But fear not! We get plenty of 6 month old IPA's from them! Genius!! I almost wish Firestone would just get the hell out of this state. It's a goddamn disgrace.

 

Double DBA arrived in Berlin, Pennsauken, and Westmont late this past week. The stores that typically get FW Proprietor's series bottles should have gotten some. I'm sure the Cherry Hill stores got their case(s) as well.

Crossroads Spirits (in Toms River) just had a lottery for only 5 bottles in the whole store last Friday with about 20-25 people there for it.

 

the beer store southhampton got it friday, one bottle per person.
