@belotj not sure if they do or not... but I'm sure they're smarter than the Kings.

Also smarter than flyers who just signed andrew macdonald for 6 years / $30 mil. That front office is a joke. Guy is now making more than Ryan McDonagh :astonished:

The Yackets organization is finally heading in the right direction! They're not in shabbles anymore and the fact that they got a GM in Jarmo Kelkalainen who's got balls to make trades at the deadlines, and actually go after free agents will do wonders for the CBJ.

They finally a solid goalie in Bob! And a young star in Ryan Johansen, along with Dubinsky, Wiz, J.Johnson.

@belotj I'm a HUGE Blackhawks fan, but definitely don't mind the Yackets! Rick Nash is a good, if not great player when healthy! Problem with the NY Rangers is their GM. You hire a meatball like John Tortorella, and then fire him for someone even worse in Alain Vigneault.

Of course I gotta play the Hawks in the first round... With Kane and Towes back...

You and I would have some healthy debate about Rangers personnel over a long sipping beer. For now I just want to root like hell for your mistress team!

First off, I'm a Hawks fan through and through. With that being said....

Have you watched that figure skater play lately? He should try out for the Ice Capades! Guy hasn't done a whole lot even when he was healthy!

I agree, but it does make them a bit better.... plus, the Blues have tanked lately. I dont care too much for hockey, unless beer or money are involved. Go BLUES!

@belotj I'd really enjoy cracking a brew with you and talk hockey. It's the greatest sport around, hands down! The Rangers are a great organization, them being a Original 6 with those clean blue sweater...money! But I just question their coaching decision this past year that's all. AV is a horrible coach he proved that in VAN. The goalie situation w/ Bobby Lu & Schneider was a joke and sealed his fate.

The 'Hawks organization was the same way when "Dollar Bill," Rocky's old man was running the show. Not televising the home games for years, not paying players, selling off draft picks for strings of Russian players like Zhamnov or Krivavokrasov who were ran outta town bc they sucked so bad.

    woops....

Jury is still out for me on AV. He was PaRt of the situation in VAN but you look at VAN and this year after very little player turnover (albeit goalie debacle is a big one) leads me to believe that was a tense situation up there. Gillis is fired and somehow Torts survives after taking the Sedin's off the face of the earth with his line change Boggle and antics. I give AV credit this year for getting a lot out of our lineup from top to bottom. There has been very little negative media this year if any at all and that includes the horrendous west coast road trip to start the season. Young guys getting their chances with AV and that's good cause the Rangers are quietly filling the pipeline. And as for Sather, well the guy has his boondoggles but he rarely gets fleeced. We've got arguably the best goalie and defensive pairing locked up long term (and at good value) so he's done that and I give props for not giving into Cally's ridiculous requests (and I love cally). I am optimistic about the Rangers this year and going forward. Now if we could get our 3 highest paid forwards to play like top paid forwards I'd be ecstatic. Take f'ing Brad Richards and his f'ing contract out of the Rangers past, present and future and the blueshirts would be seen through a clearer lens!

This just in: Steve Mason not starting tomorrow!
