Looks a little different this year than last (I think, since I did not go last year): http://www.saraveza.com/site/comments/2nd_annual_peche_fest/ Lower entry fee, more options, two tickets and a glass to start, can buy more tickets. I completely missed this last year but will definitely go this year (because peaches). Anyone go last year? Was it busy? I found a thread about last year's event, but there were no posts from after it happened.
Depends on your def of "Vintage" or "Lambic". Not a lot of release years in the description, I'd imagine a few of them probably have had some time sitting around.
I will be there. I'd like to hear a little more from anyone who went last year. The list looks great. The food is fatty but so delicious.
The Upright Fantasia is Batch #4 an early preview of next years release. Alex blended up the barrels including vintage Fantasia into the mix this year and while most of it will now spend time re-conditioning in the bottles he kegged off one 50 liter keg just for this festival. I hear there is one change to the lineup with the De Garde Brewing beer. Instead of the Vielle Peche it is now a brand new release: "Beaucoup DeSay", an oak Chardonnay barrel-aged wild farmhouse with OR peaches and apricots added to the barrel, topping out at 8.9% ABV.
So, the one thing arguably a "vintage peach lambic" is no longer on the lineup? Or am I still missing something? (BTW, you/they seem to have updated the description on the webpage, but not the name of the beer)
anyone know if the same beers will be poured at both locations? and if it's a rotating tap thing or are all tapped at once? Hitting up de garde so I'm greedy and want both. Decisions....
what is the difference? Even though the name changed on the list the description for both beers was always the same? How is Vielle Peche different? FWIW, the fest was very fun. I may try to come back next year. It was relaxed and full of good beer.
We had originally planned and said we were going to send Peach Bu. I'm not sure where Vielle Peche was thought to come from (we did a single keg over a year ago for a different event). It just doesnt exist, and was never mentioned as going there. Beaucoup Desay was the beer there. We changed from Peach Bu to introduce something newer and possibly better. It looks like the description was correctly changed, though most sources from the event and organization have the name wrong. Regardless, glad to hear you enjoyed the event!
