Also, if you're in Ft. Collins area this Friday, the Mayor of Old Town and Tap n' Handle will be tapping the 14'/15' vertical as well...not sure if they'll have the Regal.

Rare coming south even in the springs. $100 a bottle from what I'm hearing. 13 on tap right now in my basement and one of their best imo. I don't think this years coffee was all that great.

5pm is correct. You going to be in town from the Chicago area?

I didn't update my profile on here, but I moved to Denver a year and a half ago from Chicago. So, I'm always in town.

Most places around me seem to be selling rare for $60 a bottle. I've never gotten my hands on it before, but is there any way it's worth it at that price point?

I don't think there is any beer for which I'd pay $60/bottle. I paid $40 retail for the OG Rare and I still feel dirty.

I kind of agree with you on that but I still find myself contemplating on pulling the trigger if I have the chance to buy a bottle of Rare. Im kind of 50/50 about it right now.

I'd put my name in the hat and if I got selected have to make a choice. I guarantee we all have friends that would be willing to split it with, so heck why not?

I was skeptical of "rare" until I read that it was aged in still-wet 35-year old Heaven Hill barrels.
    Dang.

I'd pay $60 to smell the box it comes in.

Yea was shocked how much old rare stuff they had last year. Super stoked for bb&b!! I think knowing i can try cool varients every January makes me avoid dropping a bunch of time and money to buy them.

Looking forward to it as well partly for this reason. Jared dropped all of the major variants last year for sampling and I'm sure we'll see the some (or more) this year. Also nice to see them popping bottles of Utopias and other incredibly rare or vintage items. See you there!

Anybody get out tonight and try this year's release? I tried regular and coffee, and felt there has been a pretty big drop off from 2014. Oh well. Maybe it will age well.

I agree. They were all great, but I had the '14, '15, and '15 coffee and thought the regular '14 was the clear winner.

I did a 3 year vert the other night. Thought '15 was the best. Slightly better than '13.
