Most likely same as every year. Hs gets BT reserve and port so they had to make the distinction

Terruex hasn't been around long enough for a society to make sense. How long ago did they start brewing in the new location? It surely hasn't been the year that alot of these beers take to make.

yeah, it'll take at least a year to get a line up of beers cranked out since sours take so long.

Good point. In regards to the brewing, I was under the impression they were still brewing the wort at The Bruery and then blending and innoculating at the different location? I could be completely wrong

More than likely these initial Terruex offerings started as bruery beers and will now end up in Terruex bottles. Just an assumption, but seems logical.

I would join in a second...if I lived in Cali. Being on the East Coast makes it a bit difficult unfortunately :slight_frown: They are my favorite brewery too.

I'm really disappointed with 1 bottle of Smooth Criminal & 1 bottle of Bois Fume being included with the RS membership. I passed on buying them this year because I wasn't interested and now they're being forced on me if I want to renew my RS membership. I'm on the fence about it, as I see this as a slight, but do want most of the other things they're offering this year. DAMN!

Funny thing I noticed for 2015. They list Mash & Grind.....but no Mash. Wondering if this is Mash 2014 being pushed to 2015 or a new batch altogether.

I agree, but i think the current trade ratio is 836 boise fume/ smooth criminal, to 1 bottle of chocolate rain

I was completely bummed when I saw RS as the HS wasnt displaying on the website...then I saw HS and I'm a happy camper now. 7 bottles of BT in some form for Jan will make anyone happy.

Yeah, regular Black Tuesday is bourbon barrel aged. They are just distinguishing between this and the special Hoarders variants that will be released in 2015.

In my head I always think BT as Bourbon Barrel Aged. I wonder if this means that the Port/Madeira bottles will be the Base Stout w/o any BBA or if it will be a blend. Would be interesting to taste all the different parts individually but I can't say that I have ever seen/had Non-BA Black Tuesday so I am not sure if a blend or wine only barrel aging would be best. What do you guys think?

I like the idea of a completely different barrel BT - no bourbon. I also don't have much interest in trying a non-barreled BT.

im pretty sure that it will just be the base beer then aged in a different type of barrel. I doubt they would age it in bourbon barrels take it out then put it in port or madeira or rum barrels

I'm really on the fence about rejoining in 2015. My cellar is overflowing with good beer right now, and i haven't even picked up my 2014 purchases. I'm closer to SARA and TRB and they've both been knocking it out of the park. The single ticket for the BT release party has really soured me on the RS - that's usually when we do our big trip south to pick up our held beer. We make a great weekend of it, making stops at some of our other favorite places along the way to turn the 6 hour drive into a fun trip. Kind of ruins the fun when only one of us gets to attend the party at the end. We'll figure out something else this year for pickup. It's suddenly turned into a burden instead of something we were looking forward to.

I think I just convinced myself to not renew.
