@ClownShoesDreams What happened to Supremely Angry Beast? Is Uncommonly something different of just a name change?

 

Super stoked to see that Billionaire will be making another appearance. I am not sure what barrels they used last year, but Billionaire was amazing. Hoping the new variation will be just as good.

Hey patches, pretty sure they're just name changes each year. Its gone from very angry beast, to extremely angry beast, to supremely angry beast, now uncommonly angry beast. I maybe have messed up the order. But I'm fairly certain its just a name change

 

What's the idea/rationalization behind the state only releases? Why no MA only releases? Craft beer cellar doesn't count since they're going national. Really looking forward to Mango and the next version of Billionaire!

 

Very Angry Beast, I believe, is a bourbon barrel stout. Extremely Angry Beast is double barrel (bourbon barrel undead party crasher and blaecorn unidragon and rum barrel aged hammer of the holy). Two different beers

What is that Jersey release (type of beer)?

 

Although someone on BA posted it as an Imperial IPA I read its an American Imperial Stout blend of Undead Party Crasher and an experimental barleywine

 

Cool MI is getting a special beer this year, wonder what Minnie Quay will be !! Can't wait for a ton of these beers !!

Right. Different threads of beer each year:

Angry Beast - Vampire Slayer + BBA Blaecorn Unidragon
Very Angry Beast - Vampire Slayer + Blaecorn Unidragon, then Bourbon Barrel Aged as a whole
Extremely Angry Beast - BBA Undead Party Crasher + BBA Blaecorn Unidragon + Hammer of the Holy (which was Rum Barrel Aged Vampire Slayer)

 

It is a blend of a rye barrel aged stout and rye barrel aged barleywine

 

MA got Exorcism at Sunset, which is the highest rated Clown Shoes beer on this site.

As for rationalization, I would surmise that only limited quantities of these beers can be produced (either because of barreling or because it would disrupt regular production). So, it makes sense to limit the distribution area if you're going to do it right.

Plus, it's a cool way to reward the markets buying your regular releases. I'm hopeful that GA, which loves Clown Shoes, will get one of its own soon. It's a cool idea if you ask me.

 

Clown shoes The Peace that Money Can Buy will be available next week in the Twin Cities, Minnesota at all the usual places and there should be an ample supply

MA will get lots of love. We haven't finalized our state-only releases yet. These are just the one's we have scheduled for early in the year. Exorcism will be back again, along with some others.
