I work for a distributor that carries Bell's and am anxiously awaiting this year's batch of Expo. I checked the availability chart at bellsbeer.com and it states that Expo is available starting in October. I have seen posts here and elsewhere indicating that it's actually been available for a while now.

Can anyone clue me into the release date for this years batch?

So are you looking for a bottling date? I know I've seen 2015 at Plum Market in AA. I can check and get back to you.

Release date. I think I read somewhere it was bottled in... February? I don't know if they age it a while in bottles before distributing, or what... but I mean... I'm just wondering because a) their website says it becomes available in October. Maybe this isn't consistent... and b) my warehouse hasn't gotten it in yet. If it's already available, we should have it in stock and I should have it in and around my face by now.

Just asked my boss about this and he says we know it's coming in on the next Bell's truck, but we won't know when that is until a few days before hand. Apparently the Bell's Shipping and Recieving department likes to play games with my emotions.

Bonus: We're finally getting 3rd Coast Old Ale as well! :grinning:

Around Grand Rapids I've seen both the 2014 and 2015 currently on the shelf depending on where you stop. Fresh batch usually comes out in September from what I've seen but they brew it throughout the fall and winter.

Don't think they've aged it before. I always buy it around it's initial release each Fall and usually the bottling date is in August

I just checked one of my bottles. It was bottled on September 2, 2015. I picked up 12 bottles at Bell's General Store on September 12.
