If reg BCBS is $15-20 per bottle I will...

  1. Buy fewer bottles than what I really want

    62.8%
  2. Buy about 3-5 bottles and call it a day

    24.1%
  3. Buy as many bottles I can find still. Price is no object.

    13.1%

Who is selling regular BCBS for $15-20? Everywhere I know it's being sold it's only going for $10.99-11.99

$15-20 for regular BCBS? I'll buy zero.

    I'll drink Java Cask instead.

It was at a store in south jersey. That is just what the beer guy there told me. I don't know if he's just shooting out his ass or not but he said reg bcbs '14 was priced close to $10 a bottle last year so he's thinking the new size bottles may be priced close to $20. Im curious what the actual price will be once that day comes however

Going to try and snag a few bottles myself, but I won't cry if I get 0(which is a possibility). Personally, I'm a little disappointed in the the change in bottle format. One of the aspects I liked about a 4-pack was seeing how the flavor profile changed over the course of a year. Can't really do that this time around.

I'm guessing that you aren't familiar with the End of History, Dave, Sink the Bismark, Utopias, etc...

My local guy in Watertown mentioned that his rep told him not to get too concerned about variants either. Doesn't look like they are going to make it to NNY.

It was also hinted that the suggested price for regular might be a little north of what I have been reading here....closer to $12.99 or $13.99 a bottle.

Regular will be on sale for perhaps 20 minutes if that long. Knowing this market I doubt $15 a bottle would turn people off to the point they wouldn't buy it, at $20 sales might slow, but I doubt there would be any left 24 hrs later. Just a strange beer market here.

Considering that a lot of 12 ounce bottles of most beers from Mikkeller are this price and usually not as good, I quite agree that this is a bargain.

Love this beer but the line has been drawn, looks like more Backwoods Bastard and a bottle of Blatons

The MSRP is the MSRP though. Anything higher than that goes on the retailer.

I'll probably just buy one. And drink it on tap somewhere.

I make a good income-price doesn't matter. The lack of variants is a huge turnoff. 2 years ago I was able to score a couple 4 paks of the BCBBW. Last year, I had to fight for 2 bottles. This year I am pessimistic of getting any. BCBS is still still the best BA stout there is but the hype and insanity and the inability to get variants makes me no longer want to chase. Fortunately, I am a preferred customer at my bottle shop and they will always save me some BCBS but I am done with running around trying to get a bunch of it, like in the past when I would get multiple 4 paks from a half dozen stores.

I will not be standing in line for a beer from Anheuser Busch.

This is how I feel as well. I usually try to get down to NY from Ontario to get some BCBS and any variant I can find. After the chat with my usual retailer, I decided to pass on the trip. The shop I go to will set a bottle or two aside for me and I will get there when I get there.

Being that this is a Black Friday release I would imagine that people have to show up several hours ahead of time?. Ive been overseas for several years already so I dont know how if people show up several hours bfore stores opening. And i ould imagine it varies by location on how busy a store would get. What has been peopleS experience with this?
