2015 Hopslam

Several places by me got 50 cases, and blew through them in minutes.

That store and the Adams location actually have a Wine steward. I put my name on the email list at the Adams store for shipment updates, but never recieved any. Time to stop back in and ask a dick why?

 

That would be pretty boss if you went up to the wine steward, bent down, and addressed his dick.

 

@LarryBell How could you possibly allow this? I can just see you scheming in your resplendent bathroom on a marble toilet with OSU toilet paper, "curse the Buckeyes, I'll push back the Ohio release date of Hopslam to spite them!" [shakes fist]

 

Yea right, I wish I was one of them. However, when I talk about/reference bands I don't say "WE" like I was actually a part of it.

 

Hey, I went to a Division III school. I love all Big Ten towns. Packaging as fast as we can. Now if you want to talk Kalamazoo vs. Dennison, well, that's different!

 

Somehow I did four years at K and never knew you were an alum...I must not have been paying attention, or maybe I was just drinking too much Bell's .

I had to think why I even bothered to get on a Meijers list....then it hit me, he was supposed to get cases of Black Note last year, that never surfaced.

 

Exactly where I got my case. They always seem to get a great amount for such a small store.

the guy told me i wasnt a regular customer, so he had no hopslam. i go there at least once a month.

he just lost a patron for good.

 

I heard about the Meijer on Adams having some Hopslam so I called up there and the guy was a dick and couldn't tell me how much they had. I went up there and the guy acted like a dick when he got me some from the back. Overall a great experience!

I stopped at the Adams Meijer after work yesterday and noticed the beer guy walking some Hopslam out of the back room to a few people, so I asked if they had any left.

He gave me a funny look, and then said they ran out this morning. I wasn't going to call him on it when I noticed people walking out with six packs, but good to know it wasn't just my experience!

 

Tall bald guy with glasses, prolly bout 50-60 yrs old?

 

He's been working at the Meijer on Adams since it was built (which was only in the last few years). In fact it's the only Meijers I know that has a "wine steward" which is what he does there. Every year I get Hopslam from him or the store. He has always been nice to me.

2-3 years ago, I remember getting it at that store after it sat in the cooler for 2-3 weeks. It was actually on sale.

Now that store sells out in 1/2 day, if that.

 

I thought he was decent when I spoke to him. I only questioned his sincerity, when I noticed I never received any emails after he entered me in. I'm probably jumping to conclusions thinking he snubbed me, that's why I asked those two who they talked to. If there is a list, and I believe there is, then I can see him telling people it's out, if what he had left was spoken for. Are you on the email list?
