seriously man I gave you a good enough explanation coming from the source. If that's not good enough for you to accept and you need to find some deeper meaning into why we are getting it two weeks late, I kinda feel sorry for you. It's as simple as Bells getting it all out into Chicago in one shipment this year, instead of two waves. Chicago is a Huge beer market with multiple Distributors carrying the same products in different areas of the City. Schamberger Bros. distributes Bells in the Suburbs. just fyi

 

I run a beer festival, and have been for several years. I can tell you from my experience that most of them (the ones I work with anyway), don't know anything about craft beer, and don't really care much about it either. My goose island rep for instance never even heard of sour beer...

 

why not jack the sixer price up to $24 and put each bottle in a fancy little velvet bag? Peoples inability to realize that they are getting totally fucked by buying bombers astounds me. Learn basic math! I have no use for a hemp rope tag OR an inconveniently large bottle, I just want the beer

 

If I had a dollar for every time Ive heard rants about Skokie Valley lol. They seem to not be liquor stores favorite distributor...

 

So the last 3 years it has hit the NW burbs Jan 17 at my local store give or take a day. Any idea why its coming later this year? is it just the distributors changing things up?

 

It more than likely has to do with how the calendar fell this year and will probably be that way next year also.

 

I am thinking there is going to be A LOT of Hopslam going around this year. I just talked to my local Busch's and the beer guy told me they are getting in 50 cases this year. He said he was getting more than most places but that alone makes me think Bell's has upped production of this big time. Hopefully the quality stays the same.

 

Meijers around me are supposedly only getting 2 cases each

My point was that I've heard they are getting a lot more than 2 cases. You can be technical about it if you'd like.

 

The salesman here told me he only ordered 2 cases each.
