It's ready when the folks at Surly say it is ready! I don't think you're ready for their jelly. Seriously though, our great community will start posting when they see it.

Based on the Twitter post from last night, might have to make a trip up there next week for food and beer at the brewery!

    Cranberry Gose!

Cranberry gueze sounds delicious. I think this is the first time surly is using fruit.

They used cranberries in Surly Two. But I agree, sounds awesome.

I was wrong on this - their cranberry beer was TWO - A stout brewed with cranberries.

    ONE was a Quad bock

Fruit was used in Surly TWO.
Also, this is a gose, not a gueze

For those unsure I always think of it this way:
    Gose = Salt
    Gueuze/Gueze = no salt.
Happy to help clear up that mystery in a very thorough manner.

    To further make this confusing:

Goose = salt or no salt (really up to the chef)

A Gose makes more sense. The twitter post said gueze and i got excited

What was the hop in 2012? That was the only version of Wet I've had. It was incredible.

I believe that 2012 was Simcoe and 2011 was citra (my favorite so far).

From that "other site", I believe this is correct.
    2009 vintage: 50% Simcoe, 50% Citra hops
    2010 vintage: 50% Simcoe, 50% Citra hops
    2011 vintage: 100% Citra hops
    2012 vintage: 100% Simcoe hops
    2013 vintage: 75% Cascade, 25% Centennial hops

I asked about Wet today at the Nein release. Apparently it will be out next week. October 5 was the date they gave me. They also said more info will show up tomorrow on social media.

6,000 lbs is good news, assuming a correlation between quantity of hops and batch size.

For comparison, 2013's Wet used 1,200 lbs of fresh hops (production cut back that year) and 2012 used 2,400 lbs.

Although they used 1400 lbs in 2009 according to the article below, so I'm not sure what the "10 times as much" means, unless they are using quite a lot less hops per barrel.

Hard to believe 10 lbs of hops per barrel is cutting back!
