Don't feel too bad for them. BA Ten Fidy was sitting around on shelves for weeks when my buddies finally got around to looking for it and finding it with ease. They actually left some when they saw it at multiple places.

Not true at all. We got BCBS, BW and coffee from '16 and Rare and "uninfected" bottles of '15 BCBS.

Ohio was looking to get distro as we got rid of the 12%abv limit but labels were not approved on time so nothing showed up.

If anyone is in the Loop currently, Jackson Tavern (on...Jackson!) has Prop '16 on tap for $10.95 a 10 oz. pour. Pretty cool spot, too; the physical bar itself is really long and very accommodating.

I hadn't had Prop until today, so I don't know which version it tastes like, but...it's very tasty. There's more spice in it than I prefer (in that I prefer none at all), but the flavors are on point. Sweet, but not quite as sweet as last year (the cacao nibs and chiles help to mute the sweetness, and I assume aging it in maple barrels carries over less sweetness than adding actual syrup like last year), the cacao nibs and maple barrel influence makes for a pretty rich tasty beer. If this is how the bottles taste, I'm cool with it.

Dude, thanks for that update. I have not had Prop 16 yet but am going to open my bottle tomorrow, probably. Looking forward to it.

I actually specifically went to Jackson Tavern to help me decide what to do with mine. Since I don't like spicy beers I thought it might be a waste to open 'em (as opposed to trading or at least sharing them). But yeah, if you can deal with a little spice, it's pretty good, so hopefully you'll enjoy!

I do enjoy spice so that is an apparent plus for me.

I might have to head over there. 11 bucks for 10oz of Prop is not terrible.

Considering a 16.9 oz bottle would have / will cost you 25 dollars-ish +++? Sounds like a deal to me.

I was never good at it so take my post with a grain of salt, ya?:stuck_out_tongue::grinning:

I called top financial advisors. Not only does your math check out but my portfolio is diverse enough for me to enjoy an $11 beer.

You and I, sir, happen to have the same financial advisor!

I don't discuss tips with my financial team.

My team, conversely, is seamless to the public and has approved the requisite tip.

Nice! I was hopeful it would last, but the other guys who came in around noon were all ordering Prop too, so I couldn't tell how determined the BCS fanboys were going to be for the day. :stuck_out_tongue:

It's delicious. I could sit here and drink it all day. However I'm grateful to have 1 on draft and hope some others can enjoy it too.

Yes, it definitely is delicious from the bottle! Deep chocolate paired with moderate heat - love it!
