What are they charging this year, and is there a limit? Last year they overcharged.

@Ckoz got it. The Lansing horrocks also had 16 and I think 15 as well as your mom on French toast.

Most ridiculous thing I've seen so far is a store selling regular for 20 and barleywine for 30

Nwi is not without hope but I passed on what I found. 1 place was 13 for regular but also had to purchase a gi 6 pack. Other place was 19 a bottle limit 1. I can't believe what these shops are asking for this. The 1st place said well we have to attach a 6 pack so our numbers stay up and we get it again next year. I told them that's why you are still sitting on a case and left.

Completely agree on the spicy chili pairing. I took one bite and sip of Prop, and quickly ended that experiment. Was done with the chili as I knew it would ruin the rest of the tasting. Kind of funny that one of the opening remarks was to eat the chili early while still warm.

The BW and bread pudding was really good.

Drinking one of my 14.5% regs. It's good, but super hot right now. Definitely need to let the other one mellow for a while

While I was in line at LP Binny's, there were two people in front of us that were buying this for friends on the East Coast. Both of them said "we have no idea what this is" and were not craft beer drinkers. Financial difficulties were briefly mentioned on their side at one point in the conversation (well many conversations due to the long line).

It's just beer. It's on tap all the time. Job is way more important that beer.

Much better. Every bottle was $5 too high last year.

Forcing another purchase is dumb and shouldn't be allowed. But they should absolutely be allowed AND encouraged to charge whatever the want. I can't believe how many people on here are hating on shops that are "overcharging." There is no overcharging. The retail price is not even close to its value, as evidenced by the secondary market and the thousands of people waiting in line for hours and chasing trucks around the city.

$40-$50 for Prop or Coffee isn't ridiculous. Some people value their time and would rather pay for the beer than wait in lines or drive all over the place.

If shops priced all their beer so it sold out immediately they'd go out of business. Why should this beer be any different?

In the line I was in on Friday morning a car drives up, guy asks what we're all waiting for. Multiple people respond in unison, "Beer!" He asks if it is free. Everyone laughs.

I don't know, I just can't agree with that. MAYBE I'd entertain a $40 Prop...maybe, but probably not. And if I'm in the minority on this, that's fine.

Not to speak for the others on here, but most of us like paying semi-reasonable amounts for our beer. IMO, one of the great things about BCBS regular and most variants is that they're a good price compared to many BA stouts and barleys, and especially highly sought after ones. Pretty sure I'm not in the minority on this one.
