If O&P was $20, then surely this one will be at or above that...

Wow. Is is still a 375? Because those were like $15-16 last year if I remember correctly. So you're telling me you expect a 375 to go for more than $20? Have all of JK's prices gone up or what?

I haven't been there since December, so pardon my ignorance/lack of familiarity.

Yeah man, it was discussed in O&P thread (and Twitter, FB...) they went up $4 for the fruits, 2 for oak aged and 1 for the rest. Said first time they raised prices in years and don't expect to again for a while

It was a 500ml bottle....but still, as @GreatStoutman stated, and the previous posts, they've gone up so I would anticipate spending at least $20 on it.

Thanks for that. I'm just getting caught up on a few JK threads. I just read the Gin Nocturn thread and that was selling for $14, so how does that price reflect a price increase (if any at all)? The closer 375s get to to $20, the harder it is going to be to justify their purchase.

Ok, I'll just awkwardly back out of the room. For 500mLs, I'm not feeling as bad about the price, although I'd still prefer cheaper.:grinning:

nah its cool. I think it caught people by surprise, although its not an outrageous price increase, people just don't seem to like change is all.

Now if it did come down to 375's, I feel like we'd really be suckers...

Well, you'll find some who embrace change, but I don't think you'll find anyone getting excited about a price increase. Haha.

I'm thinking limit 2, but haven't decided for sure, so please don't hold me to it. Thoughts/opinions on the limit?

2 is probably the best bet. People will bitch regardless, but at least a limit of 2 PP is relatively fair for most people. It will reduce some of the shenannigans of every 1 PP release. Any higher and it will go too quickly. at 4500 bottles 2 PP has a chance to last the weekend. At 1 PP people will freak out more and it may actually go faster

At 4500 bottles, I would vote / hope for 2 per.

4500 is a great yield. I think 2 per person per day is very reasonable.

Shenanigans will happen even at 2 pp. If it's a 4 day weekend when it drops, I think 1 per person makes more sense so it lasts all 4 days. If it's a 3 day weekend, I'd say 2 pp is probably good. It also depends on how much notice is given as to how quickly it'll sell out.

I would say you stick with 2pp. Anything over 3k I think you can justify 2pp. Anything less, do 1pp. That at least gives 1500 people a chance to get it (if 3k were released).

With that said, can you please not make the announcement until Thursday of the week it is going to be released? It always seems more chaotic on weekends when you announce it on Tuesday/Wednesday since all the HOU/DFW people have enough time to rent buses/planes to get down in mass. And really, no one likes those people.

lol, on waiting to thursday to make an announcement.

and I dont have a dog in the fight, but at with 1 pp, it might make it till the end of sunday. 2 pp, and it likely sells out early saturday.
