They looked tight and not nervous per se at the start but seemed to playing as if protecting a lead. The aggressiveness only picked up after that first goal on the PP really. I'd guess getting that PP snapped them into a positive distracting situation, away from all the press and community static over the last few. And really, what douche city council member floats the idea of naming ANYTHING after ANYONE on the Pens (short of Duper) BEFORE they win the cup???? Name a street for Murray - that won't freak a 22 year out at all......

And there's no way Jones pulls off that crap again. Lots of shots that weren't elevated, shots dead center mass, lots of lucky bounces and again, not a consistent net front presence (early on at least) to snag juicy rebounds. Third period, Bonino and Horny got in front of the net but the Pens should focus on sticking someone's shell covered ass in his mask from puck drop. Throw him off, piss him off and preoccupy Burns and Vlasic with a net squatter so the playmakers have a bit more room...... Dunno, but they'd sure as hell better wrap this up Sunday!

Don't think I've ever been happier to see the season end! Well, maybe during those bad years before Sid...... I thought for sure that missed opportunity from Kuny was going to bite us in the ass. That empty netter - wow was I relieved for that. Getting that penalty actually helped a bit since it allowed them to ice it trouble free. But wow, what a season..... Went from the depths of crud so shockingly reminiscent of Michel Therrien that the season could only end in a cup win!

Which brings me to....

I know of one other time for sure - 2009 when the Pens last won the cup! They kicked boring ass, pass the puck 8 times before shooting, defense first (on a team with Sid, Malkin, Staal, Gonchar, amongst other offenseive heroes.....) coach Michel Therrien to the curb and brought in "Disco" Dan Bylsma.

So now the moment that you've all been waiting for - BIF and LIF results!

First off, thank you to all for a great BIF. I know the season did not end up as happy for some as others, but it was at least a very competitive playoffs with several great storylines from both conferences.

So our BIF winner is @nhindian What a special win indeed, seeing as how your team won it all and won you beer!

Third and fourth place finishers are @clake (Blues) and myself (Lightning)

If anyone feels I reached the tally in error, please file your grievance within the next week or so because I plan on shipping ASAP.

Back to the BIF - @nhindian , @tripelhops and @clake - please post on this thread whom you have chosen as your shippers.
