2016 Surly Darkness

If I thought there was any chance of being able to get a bottle by showing up Saturday after work, I'd stop by on my way to Pitchfork Harvest Fest. Have fun everyone.

 

I got a 2015 BA Darkness I'll be popping sometime friday night! Down to share with anyone. Also have some Casey sours. Cheers!

 

Dang this I awefully tempting since I would have a regular 2015 to trade couldn't give away my only BA 2015. I don't have either a 2010 or 2013. If no one messages you I might be interested have to see.

 

Has anyone ever stayed for the 3pm left over bottles? Are there really that many left? Trying to see if it is worth trying to get a couple bottles for friends who can't make it.

 

i did it two years ago. was supposed to be four bottle limit. last minute, due to a huge line, was cut to a two bottle limit. the "line" probably started just shy of 230pm. by 3pm/allotment time, it was probably easily 200 people deep.

 

Missing for the first time in 5 years. Really bummed and disappointed.

 

I couldn't find the spreadsheet for DDay. I probably didn't look in the right spot. So, I'm looking forward to seeing the 'regulars' from BA and meet new friends. If you find me, I'll have a bunch of good brews to share; Cycle weekday set, TG stouts/Chainsmoker and some Bottle Logic brews. See ya'll Friday.

 

Unless I missed some news post somewhere, it doesn't look like they are doing bottles of BA Darkness this year?

 

It's not ready yet. Early 2017, I believe.

Someone quoted it on the previous page! I'd also like to meet anyone and share a beer; I'll be with a small group from Winnipeg bringing down some Canadian beers as well as some stuff from a recent trip to the Portland area (some de Garde, a crowler of Juice Box) and some Canadian chips/chocolate bars. Early Forecast:

Friday Night: lovely & dry with a low of 56.
Saturday Morning: not lovely with a high of 67 but 80% chance of thunderstorms

I'm still rooting for a D-Day eve with driving ice pellets & threat of heavy snow. Then we'll see who's dedicated!

Family from NY making an unexpected trip into town this weekend. I will be missing this.

 

not filling out anything on the sheet, and im not bringing any whalezbroz, but I was going to bring a mix-six to share consisting of KBS, Jolly Russian, Coffee Dinosmores, Birthday Bomb, AB Noir, and Westy 12, plus some TG IPA bombers.

 

They JUST brewed the Darkness that is going to be used for BA Darkness.

6 months in Barrels - Looking at March 2017 ish.

It is definitely going to hit distro - they might do an event for it.

I apologize if I missed it, but what is stub and herbs doing this year for DDay Eve taps? It's a tradition now that we eat a late lunch there before getting to the festivities.

 

"Official" start time is 7 PM (I feel like they usually start tapping a bunch of stuff earlier, though) -- off the top of my head: KBS, '08 BCBS, Vanilla Rye BCBS, 2015 Darkness, 2016 Darkness (@ 10PM), Double Barrel Pentagram, a bunch of the Surly anniversary ales, BA Silhouette, Odell Russian Pirate, etc
