2017 BA March Madness Tourney Pick 'Em

    It's March! That means time for the BA Tourney Pick'em BIF. Last year we had 58 BA's submit their brackets - and @sandman3479 came out on top.

    We'll go with the same setup as last year. Everybody will put up a bomber (or equivalent) of something they would be happy receiving (typically aim for BA score of 95+). Payouts will be determined once we have a final head count - likely Top 10% will get beer. Deadline to signup will be Thursday - 3/16 (before the first game).

    Here is the scoring system...(Yahoo! Default, nothing fancy)

    Fantasy Points by Round

    Round of 64-     1 point per correct pick (32 total points possible)
    Round of 32- 2 points per correct pick (32 total points possible)
    Sweet 16- 4 points per correct pick (32 total points possible)
    Elite Eight- 8 points per correct pick (32 total points possible)
    Final Four- 16 points per correct pick (32 total points possible)
    Championship- 32 points per correct pick (32 total points possible)

    Maximum Possible Points: 192 points

    When the tourney is over, I will let everyone know who they need to ship to if they do not make the cut.

    **No trading history is required, just don't bail when it comes time to pay up (I will report you in the bad trader forum). We had perfect participation last year - something I look to continue this year.

    Just joined. I think I will have my wife fill out my bracket this year because she has absolutely smoked me each one of the last three years.

    Just joined! First time doing a bracket on BA so should be interesting. How are the payouts usually broken up?

    Payouts go to the top 10%. Last year, winner got 18 boxes. Usually aim for 33% of total for the winner and 25% for 2nd.

    I'd love to take part in this if people don't mind shipping to Hawaii. I've done a couple trades recently and both guys (one in Texas the other in CA) said the USPS flat rates were normal. I do understand if people are wary though. Sounds very fun so let me know!

    Don't like my picks this year - seem too predictable, but I can't steer away from the easy draws Kansas and UNC got.
