Yes sir, well, Beer Temple, at least. They got them in around 2pm and had about 10 left on the shelf at about 6:15pm.

Anyone know if this will hit Michigan and perhaps when?

The beer stores will charge what they can get. A local place, I won't name was selling FW Bravo for $14.99. High-westified was $4.99 a bottle, BA Ten-Fidy was $14.99 a can. It's getting nuts.

100+ SRM is still stupid dark. Anything above 60 SRM is pretty much black.

You can tell the difference on the parabola vintages by the foam. Older ones was a rich brown, whereas the new releases are now white. Looks more like a darker barleywine. Oh well. Just as long as it tastes good.

Is this still available in bottles at any of their locations?

This one seems like it will age really well, so I may pick up another 12 next week. FW got stupid last year and did a 2 bottle limit on release, so no road trip from me. I made up for it with 12 bottles of 2016 Parabajava instead (4 bottle limit, but a couple trips). I buy the Prairie stouts because they're the best available off the shelf in 12oz, but now with the 12oz FW's, I can just stock up on those:wink:

I was able to stop by The Propagator on Saturday. I agree with others that the 2015, 2016, 2017 flight was nice to see, and the 3oz pours were generous.

    My take:
    2015: very good
    2016: better
    2017: excellent

This years batch is definitely worth seeking out.

But why stop there, as many know, The Propogator is now brewing. I had the IPL. Nice hoppy nose, and clean lager feel.

Starting to go a bit off topic, but The Brisket sandwich is really good. Doesn't hurt that the service is really good.

I think I could eat that DBA Short Rib everyday. I'd be dead fairly quickly, but it is damn delicious...
Pork Belly tacos are money also.

Interesting. This years was actually brewed, barreled and bottled by Boulevard.

Isn't Boulevard partially owned by InBev?

It is a little tougher than most to make, even the FW brewers admit it!

I just finished my homebrewed Parabola clone (now tucked away on oak for 6-9 months) because I love the beer!

That said, It was the most expensive 5 gallon batch I have ever made and challenging enough that I probably won't repeat it again anytime soon.

    Agreed!

I asked the buyer at a local liquor store when it would be coming in, and he said I was about a month early. Which makes sense because it was released at the brewery the 25th and usually takes a month to be distributed.

Just saw it for fucking $25. A place a little further away, which is usually slightly more expensive, has it for $13, so not sure how they came up with the $25 price tag, but I left them on the counter when I heard it.
