I think R&D is pretty much set at 3 per year, though I'd love to see an annual Winter R&D. That part of the state is gorgeous in the winter.

With Cran-bic, I'm hoping it's released every 2-3 years. Whenever the batch of lambic is ready, go for it!

Pommier Sauvage and especially Champs du Blanc were amazing, and Vintage always scores highly against Belgian gueuzes in blind tastings. I've been more than impressed with the last two years of R&Ds, but I suppose no one will be happy until they do VSB and WP again...

NG's traditional lambics and gueuzes are wildly under-appreciated. I wish they would hit the market once in a while in the thumbprint series, give us a chance to pick up a whole case. I'd love to see how these age over many years.

Had my first Pommier last week and was very impressed. My favorite thing they have done since Vintage 14. I have a propensity for wilds with grapes and was a little underwhelmed by Champ.

Biggest disappointment was Vintage 15, there was such an obvious discrepancy between this and the 14. Made since because this was only a 2 year blend.

If you look at the brewed and bottled dates, I dont think those wilds are spending enough time in barrels to develop that next layer of complexity. Most of those beers have under 10 months on them before they hit the bottle. I wish NG would tone back and just do 1 or 2 releases but give them more time to develop

Does NG get distributed outside of Wisconsin? I've not seen them on the East Coast nor anywhere in the Chicago suburbs, which I visit regularly.

My only wish is they would drop totally naked for somehting else. Spotted Cow is light enough for the light beer crowd. Would rather see fruited berliners in the summer from Dan.

Probably just changed it because if you spill it on your jeans it sounds less creepy to say "I Farmhoused my pants..."

I thought Champs was too sweet out of the gate, but the bottle I had recently was very good and much improved. Vintage 15 was not quite as great as 14, and I think you're correct as to why, but I still would put it in the top 10-15 of American wilds, especially those trying to be lambic.

The only things not on the 2017 Calender that I really miss are edel pils and stone soup. They'll be on there again one day I hope.

I'm a little surprised that we don't see more small batch releases out of the wild fruit cave. I can't imagine that DC isn't experimenting all the time in there.

I've always been a bit confused about the lack of small releases from NG, even non-sours. They have a pilot system which they presumably use but where does the beer go? They don't serve it on tap at the brewery so is it really all getting consumed by the employees or something?
