Dave_Treat has graciously let me run this BIF for him this year.

Time for another year of NFL 33. This is a great time, and no skill needed. Basically, you get a team and if it scores 33 during the season, you win!

I will randomly draw names and assign teams. I will NOT video tape this, I will be fair.

    Object:
Your team scores 33 Pts in a game, win or lose, and you win!

I will break up the teams in 4 groups of 8. This is for shipping purposes only, any one wins if their team hits 33 at any time.

The first 8 picked start at week 1. (Unlucky group 1) if someone hits in weeks 1-4, this group ships beer.

Once someone hits, or we get to week 5, then group 2 starts. If no one hits, group 1 and 2 ship, so now it's 16 boxes of beer! If33 is not hit, every 4 weeks the next group is added. The first one to hit 33 gets boxes from everyone on the clock.

When 33 is hit, everyone already on the clock ships. The next group is on the clock and we start the 4 week clock over.

Last year, we went through the 4 groups twice. No one is required to go the second round, we will find someone to fill the slot.

    So in a nutshell:
    1. 44oz good quality beer
    2. Random Drawn NFL Team
    3. Team needs to score 33pts final score win or lose
    4. Random drawn senders in groups of 8
    5. 2 or more winners hit they split whatever box total is up for grabs.
    6. No gaps in beer sending schedule! If some one hits early the next group is up.
    7. If all 4 groups give beer out, we will decide a way to proceed. Either start over the same way, or ??? We will cross that bridge when we get there. No one is required to play twice.
    8. If you are a sender and you hit you still get the total number of boxes minus your own. Example you hit week 4, you get the other 7 boxes.
    9. Group of 8 will rollover into the next group of 8 if no hits occur.
    10. Side LIFs are highly encouraged. What is that you ask? Well, make up something and ship beer if it happens. Example, my first LIF be first team to lose starting QB to season ending IR.
    11. Shipping is expected within 30 days

All this might look complicated but it's not. I will post the teams and sending order end of August. I will answer any questions on here or beermail.

This is opened to BAers with at least 5 good trades or another BIF. Last year participants get first dibs.

For those counting that is 35 people. People who played either round last year. First 32 to respond get a team.. if more than 3 people don't want in this year, we will search for some new players.

    Cheers!

I'm sitting this one out this year. It is a fun BIF though. Tell you what I'll do...I'll do the first mini-LIF. If any team fails to score 30+ during the first round of this BIF, I will ship them a box of goodness. Tiebreak goes to team with lowest scoring average.

I'm also going to sit out this year - too many other beer commitments, otherwise I would be in again. Have fun guys!

Take a look at last years thread, linked in first post, that will show you what the boxes looked like. The words I always live by on here is send a box you would be excited to open.

I have started a new player list... with hardysf then bum4ever.,. And will use this list to fill open spots once I have heard from last years players.

Glad to have you back. I was planning on keeping it 33 for the nostalgia factor.. but if a majority wants to change it we can. I know round 2 last year was 25 and that hit about as often as 33 did.

You are first on the list of new players to fill spots if returning players drop out this year.
