2017 - NFL Survivor Pool

It's that time of the year again - football is back, so we might as well get this thing off the ground.

What is a "Survivor Pool"?
In short, it's an elimination challenge where each week you pick a single NFL team to win their respective game. If they win, you move on. Lose, and you're eliminated from the competition. The one caveat is this - you can only pick each NFL team ONCE throughout the entire season.

*NOTE* - You may pick your team for the coming week starting Tuesday morning, however picks lock Sunday at 1pm EST. No exceptions. It can't hurt to log in early in the week and pick someone (anyone), just in case you forget to log back in before Sunday. Best case you can switch your pick before 1pm if you want, and worst case at least you won't be eliminated for not selecting any team.

Who can participate?
Unfortunately, due to issues in the past with these types of BIF's, I'm going to institute a minimum requirement for participants.

• 5 minimum trades with 100% positive feedback, and no "Bad Trader" threads to your name

- OR -

• You must have an established BA trader (let's say 10 / 100%) vouch for you. This person will be required to ship in your place, should you fail to meet the requirements of the BIF.

I also reserve the right to deny entry to any BA'er who has 100% positive feedback, but who's had issues with BIF's in the past, or who's feedback is less than stellar (i.e. multiple partners giving positive feedback, despite complaining about issues with the trade).

What is the buy-in?
Minimum 72oz / Maximum 150oz of good quality beer + 1 NFL "swag" item. That's a range of 6x 12oz cans, up to 6x 750ml bombers.

"Good quality" is subjective, but a good rule of thumb is "Send a box that you'd be excited to receive". While brewery-only or limited release are certainly welcome (build that beer karma!), they are by no means required to be part of your box. At the very least, try to hit Wants, Should have been Wants, and out of distro stuff for your target. Lastly, IPA's are better FRESH - please don't send 2+ month old hops.

Who wins?
The last three years the participant pool was over 50 users. Assuming similar numbers this year, the top 8-10 finishers will receive boxes, and will not have to ship. The exact breakdown of number of boxes received will depend on the final number of participants.
