All year long we fill barrels just to be released on this one day. This year we will have a list unlike anything seen before!! Fury For A Feast was originally started with the buzz and release of our bourbon barrel aged Night Fury Imperial Stout releases. This year we will be releasing over a dozen different barrel-aged Night Fury variants along with a crazy list of other barrel aged beers that have been sleeping in our barrel room.

Here is just a taste of what barrel aged beers will be on draft:

    -Traxxx Night Fury
    -Vanilla Bean Night Fury
    -Cookies ‘n Cream Night Fury
    -Chocolate Espresso Night Fury
    -Cherry Cordial Night Fury
    -Boysenberry Ghost Pepper Night Fury
-Double Barrel Night Fury (Bourbon/Apple Brandy)
    -Orange Truffle Night Fury
    -Maple Pecan Cluster Night Fury
    -Rye Whiskey Night Fury
    -Cinnamon Coconut Night Fury
    -Raspberry Coffee Night Fury
    -Well Water
-A Well Full of Fury (Blend of Night Fury and Well Water in Heaven Hill Barrel)
-Fear Of The Dark – Rye Whiskey
    -Stosh’s Point Baltic Porter
    -Salted Caramel Brown
-The Lyon, The Witch and the Schramm’s Mead Barrel
-Four Roses Sweet Lou w/Hyperion Coffee
-Hypercharged Qishr (Hyperion Coffee Co colab)
-Apple Brandy Farmer’s Hat (Colab w/Brewery Vivant Hoppy Saison aged in Apple Brandy Barrels)
    -Wine Barrel Gose
    -Mead So Horny

    The Bottle Release:

For the first time this year, we will have the mug club ticketed bottle release for Fury held during the actual Fury For A Feast event. In years past, we have had the bottle release either the day before or the day after, but after hearing many requests, we have decided to have it THE DAY OF for the first time this year. Those with bottle release tickets will be able to pick up their allotments in The Barrel Room during the event. Any bottles not purchased during Fury will go up for sale on a first come first serve basis the next day (Sunday, August 27th) at noon and will be available to everybody (not just mug club members). This will be very limited, if at all, as we expect most if not all of the bottles to sell out during the ticketed release… but we are saying there’s a chance!

The tickets (For Mug Club Bottle Release Only - TICKETS ARE NOT NEEDED TO ATTEND FURY FOR A FEAST, ONLY FOR THE MUG CLUB BOTTLE RELEASE) - will be released unannounced in our taproom sometime before Fury For A Feast. Tickets will only be available to mug club members that have signed up before the release of the tickets. The ticket price of $3 will be a donation to Blessings in a Backpack and will guarantee the Mug Club Member the ability to purchase one full allotment of bottles on August 26th during Fury For A Feast. We will reserve some tickets for an online sale before we close the sale of the tickets, this will be announced via email blast, so please go to our website and join our mailing list if you are not on the list already.

    The Bottles:
It's looking like 4-6 bottles of Traxx Night Fury plus a mixed 6 of other various flavors is likely. Possibilities include Vanilla Bean, Cookies n Cream, Orange Truffle, Cinnamon Coconut, Double Barrel, Rye Whiskey, Boysenberry Ghost Pepper... maybe more! Stay Tuned for more details and allocations as we taste these beasts from the barrels to see how they are aging and find out what yield we are able to acquire!

DON'T FORGET YOU MUST BE A MUG CLUB MEMBER BEFORE THE TICKET SALES START TO BE ABLE TO RESERVE YOUR ALLOCATION!

    The Food:
Slows To Go will once again be slinging their incredible bbq at Fury!

Also Hyperion Coffee Station and Busch's Fresh Market Free Water Station

    The Music:
This year we have an incredible list of local music that will keep you moving all day!

    The Bands:
The Orbitsun’s (Detroit Rock ‘n Roll / Rockabilly featuring Vinnie from Sponge)

    Social Bones (Hippie Jam Rock)

Dude (Rock ‘n Roll featuring members of The Muggs)

Ryan A. Roth & The Sideshow (Rockin’ Folk)

    More TBA

It's pretty frustrating that the first year since moving to Michigan that I can't attend the actual event, they decided to move the bottle sales to the same day as the event. :slight_frown:

I'm leaving town on 8/26 and would have loved the ability to pick up a bottle allocation the day before like every previous Fury For A Feast. Sadly, I won't be back on Sunday, so I won't even get a crack at the slim pickins left for the general public on Sunday.

All that said, I'm happy to see WH enjoy this kind of success. Well deserved!

At the St Patty's Day Party this year they switched to plastic cups with fill lines. Witch's Hat hears feedback, takes it seriously, and actually makes changes.

I like it when a brewery isn't afraid to listen to its customers.

Has anyone tested these fill lines to be sure they were calibrated correctly?

All joking aside, Witch's Hat are excellent people. They have some excellent products and it shows that they care about what they are doing.

What's the price on all these Fury's? A buck an ounce or more I would guess.

Pretty much, last year it was $5 for a ticket to get a 5oz pour.

Any idea on when tickets typically go up for sale? Do they sell out quick? It's my first year in the area and I want to make sure I don't miss out!

Tickets will go on sale to mug club members first at the brewery. They will not announce it via email or social media, only post it at the brewery as to give locals first crack at tickets. Eventually they will send out an email to alert everyone else that they are on sale.

Also all bottle tickets are Mug Club only and you need to be a member in good standing BEFORE the tickets are released!

I want to point out, If you want to buy a mug club membership, you have to purchase AT the brewery..You cannot buy one over the phone...

these things really take a toll on my body and memory the following day. will probably be skipping this one for a change, especially since it will be a clusterfuck of congestion with everyone trying to snag their tradebait. impressive lineup though.

The beauty is... With the ticketed release people have 12 hours to stop in any time they want and their allocation is waiting for them! Never is a cluster. Last one only ever had a line if like 8-10 people at any time waiting for bottles.

I'd be impressed if you came from Australia for it. I've considered figuring it out from Illinois and just don't think it's worth it for the effort.

I'm only an hour away and I'm not sure it's worth the effort. Until the last batch traxx was pretty meh. They really nailed the last one though.

You also have to factor in that these beers taste best fresh (imo). Not everyone will agree with that of course. If you are considering going, at least factor in how you tend to feel about aging beers with additives/adjuncts and be prepared to drink or trade them quickly.

Again, like you said..Personal preference... But traxx has aged beautifully, all the vanilla beans age great...also, Double Barrel Night Fury and Rye barrel (two james barrels if not mistaken) have no adjuncts in it.
