Eh, it's the first release of the season. I'm not surprised it's selling that fast.

(Of course, my lack of FOMO could be due to the fact that I've got a good shot at having some on draft tomorrow afternoon.)

Good beer, but not sure if it stands out from the million other hazy ipas. Had it at Grapes and Growlers in East Vancouver

I'm not all that impressed. I won't be seeking out more. Fraxos from mt was better, as was lo pan... my worthless sense or cents...

So you’re saying four people bought it all then.

    Cool.

I'm all-in on the haze craze and still this one is... fine? It's drinkable enough, but tastes a little under-attenuated and it was my least favorite next to Ex Novo's Slamarillo and Trap Door's Glowed Up. I'll give the next batch a shot, but I doubt I'll be seeking it out as much as I did last year's version.

My reaction as well. As I recall, there was a similar reaction to the release last year.

I'm sure it will show up on tap around town over the next few months, and I'll be sure to order a glass or two. Still don't see any reason to go out of my way to obtain some.

I promise to reach across the aisle to the hazy IPA fans, and I promise there is room for all IPAs in my administration.

I will try not to stack my cabinet with west coast brewers, but no promises there.

(BTW: Cheers for picking my favorite version of 3-Way for this image.)

I keep beer at home and have an IPA-lovin' wife, and we both eagerly look forward to each year's version of 3-Way.

Of course, if it isn't very good this year, we'll happily turn our attention to all the other IPAs available to us here in Portland.

I know we have different tastes in IPAs, but we agree on this one. If I see cans, I'll grab some for science, but having tried it on draft this afternoon, I'm not going out of my way for this one. Disappointing.

Caveat: I don't like unbitter IPAs. This one is bland to me. BLAND.

Had a pour and grabbed a 4-pack at Holy Mountain today. I liked it. [shrug]

I always like 3-Way whether it’s hazy or not. It reminds me of summer starting and it makes me happy.

I might get blasted for saying this, but somewhat disappointed with the current 2018 3-Way beer. In fact, today's release of Reubens Crushketeers is a better option currently (personal opinion).

Please allow me to explain. Right or wrong, many have grown accustomed to expecting a more creamy and less bitter hazy beer. Yes, Fort George had somewhat reluctantly moved away from their traditional style last year (2017 3-Way) and spoiled many of us. Holy Mountains inclusion into the 2018 3-Way, along with Fort George's brewing style, the bitter and somewhat green taste shouldn't be a big surprise. Then again, I'm curious how much input (ingredients, brewing style, etc) both Holy Mountain and Modern Times had with this beer. Did they simply show up for the photo shoot standing atop the stairs, posing with the stainless tanks? Or, was this an honest attempt at blending their styles together, thus producing the end results..........

Opinions & expectations are so difficult to balance, as this is no slight against Fort George, Holy Mountain, or Modern Times.

They'e bringing in drainpours and off flavours... these are some bad beers folks.. We're going to build a wall to keep these bad beers out of our country. And who' going to pay for that wall!??!

Shrug. Having a glass right now at Growler Guys (to help wash down the glass of Jamaican speedway I'm enjoying).

It reminds me of many of the Modern Times hazies I've had over the past few months, which I'm OK with. Very, very juice forward with minimal bitterness, which I guess is to be expected. Also trying it side by side with the bohizafa, which I personally think is a far better beer, but again, I expected that.

That being said, not sure how many more times I'll need to revisit 3 way this year. Pretty easy to find beers I think are better than this.

The brewers get together multiple times in Astoria over the course of a year and share ideas and recipe contributions. Seeing how all three breweries have embraced the juice on their own I'm not surprised it ended up that way. I'd still be fine with a clear beer brewed with Crux and Cloudburst next year, though. Or some other OR/WA combo. Actually they should so Larry Sidor and Steve Luke can make a beer together. Old guard new guard fun times.

I'm currently drinking my first can and I'm getting some grapefruit pith bitter notes to round out the initial fruity hit. Please don't buy any so I can get more.
