Rumor on the street is that Fremont is releasing new KDS variants this year. Supposedly the two new variants will be Maple & Coconut/Vanilla. There could be zero truth to this... Just have heard this from several people. Anyone else heard anything?

No, but I want to. They sound like beers worth standing in line for.

I haven't heard about variants yet, though I did spot bottles of regular KDS yesterday at Belmont Station.

(I'd have picked up a bottle, but I'm still in Fresh Hop mode, and I snagged some Bale Breaker Citra Slicker and Sunriver D'Kine instead.)

Variant confirmed: BA Chocolate, Vanilla, Maple Syrup KDS.

I was wrong about the two different variants, but thats the new variant dropping with all three adjuncts in one!

While I was out drinking with the Hobos wife was making a cake with salted-caramel frosting. I think I can handle it.

ISO: NWer's wife's cake with salted caramel frosting.

FT: NM green chile enchiladas. And something beer-related so this post doesn't get deleted 'cause this isn't FoodAdvocate.

Yeah, so it’s true but how do you know? Either way, this one was an adventure with 8 weeks of testing and failure and ultimately success with this beer ...I can only hope that you all appreciate the result.

Along the way, we discovered a Washington source for big leaf maple syrup tapped in the wild that we are going to support as next year’s harvest ramps up...more to follow.

Maple is another of those flavors where a little goes a long way for me. Hoping it's not too dominant.
