Got a nice little haul today. Found Weihenstephaner Festbier, 3 Nations Cozy Bavarian, Southern Star Oktoberfest, and Elysian mixed pumpkin pack!

Got a sighting of Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest up here as someone was carrying the last 6 pack out. I'm going back to stock up on Ayinger since I blew through the 6 I'd bought but I'll be looking out for that and Real Ale.

Wow, Sierra Nevada here already? I thought it just started to ship on the 3rd. I’ll have to keep an eye out. My local H‑E‑B has a nice display of Oktoberfest beers, including plenty of Ayinger. I also grabbed a sixer of Lakewood Punkel! Not only a great dunkel, but the spices enhance rather than cover the flavor.

It very well could have been old stock. I didn't get a great look at the packaging so I didn't note if it had Bitburger anywhere on there from last year's collaboration. I'm decently hopeful for this year's batch as a return to form for them as I didn't really care for the 2019 Okto.

Well I just bought a sixer of the Real Ale and the Shiner okto's.

This is not my favorite year for the Shiner.

I was surprised at the Real Ale. This year's was definitely a pale festbier instead of the amber märzen's that I remember it to be. It's a delicious beer. Definitely worth buying again.

Houston area BA’s who like the pale festbier style should try Back Pew King’s Brau. It’s also a delicious beer, the brewer nailed it.

I liked Back Pew's blue corn pilsner. I've only had a single six pack of it though. I'd expect their festbier to be good.

Has anyone seen Hofbrau Oktoberfestbier hit their neck of the woods yet? I'm also curious if anyone has been fortunate enough to try the barrel aged version of Rahr's Oktoberfest.

I went looking but didn't see it in the seasonal section. Saint Arnold and Real Ale have made it to DFW along with Hacker-Pschorr but no Hofbrau yet.

Well the seasonal section is definitely expanding. The H‑E‑B in New Braunfels has a huge Oktoberfest display with at least 10 different Oktoberfest’s. Still no Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest, but I was excited to see Live Oak’s Oaktoberfest out! Also grabbed Saint Arnold’s and Karbach’s Oktoberfests.

Just grabbed the new Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest at Total Wine, along with several other Oktoberfests (to include The Kaiser)! I’m anxious to try the SN Oktoberfest based on the wide range of reviews so far!

Legal Draft just released their Lawktoberfest at least in the taproom. I don't know if it's made its way through the distribution system yet.

This year's version is very good. A bright gold to copper colored festbier.

So tons of fall seasonals on the shelf now, to include a pumpkin spiced Yeti from Great Divide, but still no Hofbrau Oktoberfest? Wow, what?

Hofbrau Oktoberfest is out in Houston (along with the other Munich ones), so I am surprised you haven’t seen it in DFW yet.

I got some Hofbrau yesterday in DFW at Total Wine. I think it just got put out because it's the first time I've seen it this month.

Yeah, just checked the Hofbrau beer finder, and now it’s supposedly available in a few places in San Antonio. I’ll have to check it out and see. In the meantime, there’s a ton of new Oktoberfest hitting the shelf that I haven’t tried yet! This is why it’s the best time of the year!!! Prost!

Get the Ayinger Marzen while you can, I have a hard time finding it now.
