2022 Beer Memberships: Adding, Keeping, and Dropping

Here's what they sent out to members:

It struck me as rather poor form to do renewals and then decide three weeks into the year that you can't actually do the club, but it's Lost Abbey - I'm actually sort of impressed that they found a new and interesting way to drop the ball. The value of the DDG "membership" backs out to be equal, so on paper, it's fine. Just Lost Abbey doing Lost Abbey things.

thanks for sharing, yea i defintly thought it was poor form as well. keeping the same price for ddg seems rather expensive (maybe half that price for ddg package, 6 bottles seems excessive) only because it revolves around 1 beer. I’m hoping I snag the cuvée without having to join the club (like I did cck11) but if I don’t, no big deal. I’ve got one last abbey teku glass, and that’s enough for me

 

I thought about it but passed since I need more beer about as much as I need another hole in my head. However, my girlfriend joined and I'm pretty stoked to have access to the club beers. Everything I've tried from them so far has been damn good. The fact that they chose such an excellent name is just icing on the cake.

Totally agree. If I wasn't splitting, I probably would've asked for a refund or some sort of consideration, because I simply wouldn't buy six DDG, nor two bottles of the special blend at that pricepoint.

They teased it on social media today so it seems like there will be a public sale for it.
