Request: I love most beer, just don't care for highly acidic wilds, stouts with 50 adjuncts and TIPA. With that being said there are always exceptions. If you like it and want me to try it, bring it on! (maybe except for the highly acidic stuff Really into the top 250 at the moment. Only 60ish to go! I may or may not have a list of 250 wants in my bio. Untapped handle is not2quick (Justin Barnes).

 

Hint #1: Shipping southwest

Likes: Barleywines, Old Ales, Scotch Ales, Stouts, and Saisons are favorites, barrel-aging is usually great, but really open to most anything outside very acidic sours, stouts with loads of adjuncts, and milkshake IPAs.

 

Yeah, I tend to only like hazies from reputable breweries. Too many butcher them but the good ones are sublime

 

I'd like to see breweries do whole hop fresh from the vine vs the pellets that sit in bags collecting dust in the corner (used to work at a brewery or two if you can't tell). I'm not going to publicly say the name(s) of the breweries that I worked at. However, I'd like to see more effort from breweries doing IPA's... Grow your own hops on a farm, use fresh hops that were just cut down and make a batch twice a year, say spring and fall. If they put in the effort like that, I think I'd have more respect for IPA's. I'm not sure if that's a thing... That's how I'd visualize the correct way to go about making an IPA.

I'm not sure if that's a thing or not, if it is, I'd consider at least taking a sip of an IPA if they put in that much effort.

Sorry for my IPA rant guys (I won't go there again).

 

No man I agree. I think the problem lies ultimately with the $ involved to do that. Definitely hard out there for a new brewery unless you got some old $. On the other hand, it could be the result of laziness and max profits?
