Visited some breweries in Alabama last week. Not new-to-me, but worth a stop nonetheless.

When I got there on Monday Feb 9th, I was greeted with 70+ degree weather so I stopped at Ferus Artisan Ales for lunch to be enjoyed outside. They have a large outdoor area with a stage and screen which was showing women’s Olympic hockey, what a treat! I also stopped by there on Thursday because the weather was great and I got to watch the men’s hockey!

Then on Tuesday I stopped at Goat Island in Cullman. I brought in my own food for lunch and had a pour of their tasty Dunkel.

Sadly, I had hoped to visit Tallulah Brewing in Jasper but was met with locked doors. After looking up news about them I learned they closed less than 2 weeks before.

My favorite Birmingham brewery is Good People. I had two side pours, a Czech pils and Czech dark lager. Both were delicious.
