I often frequent a place called Heartbreakers in Chaska MN. Occasionally they have 1 tap line with something good from Lift Bridge, Sierra Nevada or O'Dell, the rest being BMC. They have been bringing in some better product in a bottle the last year though. On Friday, after the Chaska football team won a berth in the state tournament, I stop in for a beer and the best the have on tap is Summit EPA. Karl the bartender asks me if I like porters and points at their new wall of tap lines that has Deschutes Black Butte Porter! As I look I see numerous MN taps from Surly, Schells, Brau Brothers, Mankato and locally brewed Enki. They also had Arrogant Bastard and Two-hearted. I believe they have 25 taps overall now although 6-8 are BMC. Happy hour just got a lot happier in Chaska! By the way, the pizza here is great!
Thanks!! I've been there 2 years now and have made a lot of changes to our beer portfolio. We try to keep at least 14 of our 26 beers local. Karl is a great one to talk beers with as well. We do a lot of sampling to perfect our lineup and are super glad that you approve!! We rotate in a lot of beers. In the winter we have more porters, stouts and winter warmers. Right now you'll find many IPAs, wheat beers and shandys. Stop in any time and review the beers on the site. =)
Unfortunately we don't have Arrogant Bastard on right now... We have it's big brother Double Bastard.
I work there. The other poster does not. We are well known in the area for our beer, our pizza and our happy hour. I'm new to forums here but have used the ratings for a long time to help select beers for our taps. Stop by some time. We have expansion blueprints at city planning right now and hope to add 8 more tap lines by the end of summer.
I don't work there, just a visitor with limited skills when it comes to writing... I guess I should have said "there" instead of "here"!
