I'm sure it will be the same as last time. People lining up around 9, maybe before. Better safe than sorry.

I think I will make the trip, with a 9am arrival.

Weird that there is no mention of The Alchemist on the label. You'd think they would want people to know where the beer came from.

The Alchemist's alchemy symbol as borrowed from Greg Noonan is there.

Would be great to split the lines since VT'ers will probably pass on heady, amiright??

Hopefully it won't be -17, but you know...it might be. It might be.

    Oh yes, it willllll beeeeee

Anyone have a hunch/guess based on attending the last pop-up sale of Vermonters vs out of staters in the line? Just curious if most Vermonters avoid events like this or if there's a somewhat equal portion. I doubt that many out of staters are willing to trek to VT every month for one of these events, but it also sounds like the majority of people posting (here and other social media) about going to the event aren't from VT.

Like most VT beer events I am sure you will see MA/NY/CT/NH plates in abundance

How fast did they sell out last time? I'd hate to go up from SE CT and miss out, even if we get there for 9am.

I live in Rhode Island during most of the winter working on my master's degree and this trip would only take me about 4 hours if I was going to be here this weekend. I'm assuming the trip from LI to Waterbury is about 6 hours or so? I'm heading back to LI today if anyone is really feeling like taking a trip.

I wish they would postpone it one weekend.

Jim, when I arrived at 9, most of the plates I saw were out of state.

Does it really make a difference where the people come from? Are we really talking about who is entitled to what beer again?

I can't speak directly for him, but it appears as though he was simply looking for others to entertain his curiosity. I see not the mention once of the word "entitled" anywhere in his statement/question, nor do I see any cross lingo suggesting that he's looking to being such a discussion.

To supply 'jameswelch' with a helpful answer, I'll say that I tend to avoid these events due to crowd/wait time but that also is typically dependent on what else I have planned for the weekend. This weekend, my Saturday plans consist of attending Middlebury's Chili Fest with some co-workers which begins at 1pm so The Alchemist's release in Waterbury coincides perfectly and you'll likely see me there!

    Cheers!

Why even bring it up where people are from? Every time I read something similar there is always some kind of an underlying tone of resentment towards "out of statters"

And I'll also give my .02, out of staters will come every month. Might not be the same ones but there will be hoards of them either way. Its the nature of the beast we as craft beer fans created.

as an aside, I wont be one of them.
