First beer festival I feel intrigued enough to attend - I'll be headed to 2nd Shift's Cask Festival this January. Anyone else from Beer Advocate attending? Curious how the cask portion will go (it says self-serve..??), and mentions being free to bottle share. Perhaps I can bring over some BKS/Alma Mader offerings to share. Cheers!
Going. I know nothing, but knowing 2nd Shift, it'll be awesome. I'm just ecstatic that they made it a Sunday this year. As a Saturday worker, it's infuriating that there's some awesome beer event almost every single Saturday, but almost nothing on Sundays.
I will be there for the first time. Some friends have gone in the past and said it was a great time. I'm looking forward to it! Never been disappointed by an event at 2nd shift
What other events have you attended at 2nd Shift? This will be my first time at 2nd Shift. Curious if I should bring anything for the bottle share portion.
I went to Criderfest back in June-ish I think. Incredible festival that pulls a lot of interesting breweries that you won't see anywhere else. Went to their pig roast last year during craft beer week, that was incredible Since I haven't been I can't say anything about the bottle share portion, but if its anything like the other bottle shares I've been to around the city then you will most definitely want to participate
I’ll be there with the gf, a couple buddies, and family members. This is a fantastic event and you first timers will really enjoy it. I don’t get excited about many beer events these days, but I’m pumped for this one
Would you suggest visitors to bring their own bottles to participate in the share? I may bring some local stuff to share, as long as it crosses my mind in time.
Sure but it’s not necessary, there will be a lot of good beers pouring so the share may be an afterthought
