3 Floyds: 2015 Barrel-Aged Dark Lord

I traded framboos, Grrrz berry, Grrrz kriek, rarer dos, and jk o&p for a 15 bvdl. Opened it on my bday. It was awesome. I cuvved it with some Wakefield dfpf. Was it worth trading all those bottles for it sure why not.

 

There seems to be so much variation in what is getting done that I'm not sure how to draw much of a conclusion as to what FMV is. Guess I'll just throw up my offer and see what happens.

 

I've done an Anabasis for a BVDL 1:1 and then I traded an Orviamo + Life is Like for cognac coffee 2:1

 

I traded 2013 Black Tuesday+2014 Grey Monday+Vanilla Rye for Bourbon Dark Lord. It was a local IP trade if that helps. Essentially $100 worth of beer that the trader can't get for the $50 bourbon variant in addition to his admission price, lottery win, and difficulty obtaining tickets. Seemed super fair on my end. Threw in additional out of distro ales/wilds as extras because of how easy everything was.

Just traded Cherry Rye and Vanilla Rye for '15 Bourbon Dark Lord

 

Traded one of my BVDLs a few weeks ago for '14 BA Cake set (DB, Bourbon, Tequilla) + 15 BA Cake (Bourbon) + FO.

 

Nutulhu + SR 71 for 2015 BVDL.

He'd indicated he'd take a BAA + SR 71 but I had 2 Nutulhus & only 1 BAA so I preferred parting with the Nutulhu.

Someone recently noted that I have a couple ba DL & offered me a couple of PtE for the BVDL. The way he worded it I wasn't sure if he was offering me 3:1, 2:1 or 1:1 but I wasn't interested enough to enquire further.

We really need to drink the damned beer. People are always asking about trading for it but rarely for beers I'm interested in. Almost invariably they offer more beers I'm not interested in & if they're nice it gets depressing.

@WI-Beer-Man I'd forgotten about that, lol. My situation isn't nearly so *fraught* with angst. We'll drink it.

I think BVDL is trading more reasonably this year than the last couple of years. Personally, I prefer that beers trade reasonably. It's more enjoyable, imo...Like ba Sexual Chocolate, Darkness etc. Pulling power without the insanity.

 

I traded a cognac coffee for FdF + SdF. I think we were both happy.
