3 Floyds Brewing (2019)

Took a tour at Floyds a couple weeks ago and they bought a separate bottling line to do the 500ml bottles so don't expect cans out of Floyds anytime soon. I had heard it was possible that they were going to contract brew the cans but its not happening at Floyds in its current form.

 

I think the 500 ml. Lager packs are awesome. I think the 500 ml packs in general are awesome. Would much prefer them over cans.
My only wish is that they would distro them like they do their other bottles, but I’ll live.

 

I don't see why they wouldn't. Perhaps the pub bottles are trial to see if these are worth putting into distro...

 

I thought they were going to be putting them into distro too when they released them to the pub the first time, but I’ve not seen or heard of any in the wild.

Hopefully you’re right, it’s a test and hopefully it doesn’t take too much longer.

 

I just scored a 6 pack of Lord Rear Admiral.This beer is...glorious. Hope it's year round

Bought a couple singles the other day and I enjoyed much much more than I did years ago. Mostly because my palate has changed. I'm glad the format change brought some attention back to the beer.. quite good

 

I see BA Blot Out the Sun is no longer available in the to-go kiosk. Anyone remember how much that one cost?

Went to the brewpub today. Two things:

1. The Bahn Mi is an amazing sandwich

2. Sauvage Flo is a superb crushable lager. Definitely bought a case of 500ml

 

Love the Bahn Mi! Been the thing I ordered the last few times I’ve been there. And yeah, 3Floyds German-style beer game is really great.

 

I can't believe a second three floyds brewery was kept a secret for this long...

Alpha King tallboys is a good call, looking forward to picking some up.

 

This may explain why the FFF campus project that was approved and supposed to break ground after last year's DLD never started....

 

Have you been there lately? The entire ground to the south of brewery is gated off and dug up. I think this is supposed to be a beer garden.

 

Gumballhead in 12 ounce cans is going to be a game changer.

 

Yeah this sounds like a staple when going to any summer cookout

Like I said I can't believe they kept this a secret for so long. And technically I'm correct. There's no cans coming out of the brewery I was at.
