If I'm doing this right, I'm pretty sure next year's is trash compared to this year's, so I'll start here. It'll be a shell of a beer compared to the olden days, but I was too ignorant to know what I was missing then, apparently.

If you do do Broo Doo, Bru, it's not a doo doo brew.

Woodman's has it at $24.99 - picked it up since the first 4pk disappeared over 5 nights.

Warpigs A Light in the Black has been a hidden gem in 6 packs. It's exactly what I want when it's hard to find a crisp pilsner at any given time

Three Floyds Brewing plans to reopen its brewpub and taproom in Munster, Ind., after closing it amid pandemic disruptions in late 2020.

Construction is underway at the facility, according to a person familiar with the plans. The plan is to open by May, when Three Floyds hosts its marquee festival, Dark Lord Day.

As part of the project, Three Floyds also is building an outdoor space that could host performances or private events. Representatives from Three Floyds did not respond to a request for comment.

Fifty/50 Restaurant Group will manage the food, beverage and retail operations, according to the person familiar with the plans. The group owns Kindling, West Town Bakery and other Chicago restaurants.

Three Floyds is well known for its bold and flavorful beers and heavy-metal vibes. The brewery draws thousands of people, including busloads from the Chicago area, during its Dark Lord Day in May. The brewery is less than 30 miles south of downtown Chicago.

Though the festival has continued, Three Floyds has largely been operating as a production facility for almost three years, without its brewpub and taproom. Customers have been able to pick up beer at the brewery.

Hopefully they put sprinklers in this time and it doesn’t burn down again.

Looks like Nick is ready to sell out…someone call InBev and let them know.

Obviously the Fifty/50 Group thing is the most interesting part. They run a bunch of bland office worker type restaurants.......and Roots Pizza which is awesome but I'm really getting the impression that we might see a Kuma's/InBev Goose Island Taproom style renovation here. Real airport Chili's vibes.

How common is it for a brewpub to outsource their non-brewing operations? Reducing 3 Floyd’s to a Lettuce Entertain You like restaurant is hilarious. Hopefully they’ll make it like Ed Debevic’s with wait staff that go out of their way to be rude to make it authentic like the original 3 Floyd’s pub..

Nick’s Last Resort? Haven’t seen a Dick’s in a while, so their concept is probably available.

Apparently, one of the Fifty/50 execs is allergic to wet hops*.

*not really true. But what is true is Fifty/50 have ingeniously factored in the addition of chocolate fountains dispersed throughout the brewpub dining room layout which will serve the dual purpose of not only being a delicious dessert choice for customers but a critical line of defense in being able to overwhelm any presence of thermal anomalies once detected.

I am curious if it being run by Fifty/50 has anything to do with avoiding any legal claims from the former brewpub investors?

Something like it's technically not OUR brewpub, we just licensed the name and rented the space to this restaurant group.

The question is “who owns it”. Is it 50-50’s entity and they just rent the space from Nick and buy his beer through a distributor? Or does Nick lend them someone to brew his stuff on their (50-50’s) leased equipment? If Nick is the owner and just has a management contract with 50-50 for the space I would think that wouldn’t pass any valid legal claims from previous shareholders. My question is who is holding the liquor license or brewing license for the pub and is it brewed by FFF on pub equipment or does it go through a distributor to the new entity?

The 3 Floyds rep at the bottle shop near me told them it was the last year for it.
