Agree on all this, I never drink non-BA any more, the bottles I have just sit in my cellar. did want to add - if they put DL in 4x12 ounce bottles I'd drink it more frequently during the year. Those bombers are just too much to take down. When it was a special beer you'd open at shares, it made more sense to put regular in bombers. It doesn't any more.

It is kind of a weird combo of those two things now. Some of the best priced BA 4 packs out there in distro, but history of high priced taproom big format.

And it wasn't that long ago that you were saying FFF was going to get lost in the dust of newer breweries because they didn't jump on current trends :grin:

(if that wasn't you I apologize, but I'm pretty sure we went back and forth on that a while ago)

Add the return of Pillar of Beasts to the affordable FFF BA offerings. $23 four packs available now.

So, I don't remember what the new BA Behemoth 4-packs were, but this is right in line with Rev's Deep Woods core now, and even a little cheaper, at $.48/oz ...

As a FFF fan boy I have a hard time believing I said that in that context. But maybe I did. I feel the onus is now on you to look through the forums to find out as I’m curious now and too lazy to do so myself.

1-Blurple Gatti - totally worth it
2- Yella Rrari- not worth it.

It’s almost like 1 is smooth and balanced and the other is harsher and doesn’t blend as well creating flavor notes that are “off flavors” but are “off” because they are noticeably
Out of harmony with rest of beer.

That being said, I think the sweetness from them stripped all the enamel off my teeth so there is no way I’m touching Pillar of Beasts.

It might not have been you, so apologies. I don't care enough to look back.

Regarding Pillar of Beasts, I can say that its definitely not super sweet. It has a hint of sweetness, but its definitely a more balanced BW considering the adjuncts. I don't think its any better than BA Behemoth, but it's a nice take on it.

We'll agree to disagree. When supply = demand in the brewing world, hype takes a nose dive because people can obtain what they want whenever they want it and opt to purchase other options that are new and limited. Product then sits on shelves. You can see FFF sitting in Chicago because it is so easy to find unless it is something new. When FFF hits that full shelf turd wall, they are either going to have to scale back production (which no one wants to do ever when you have a large facility) or you have to play the hot and new game. That will eventually happen if they decide to stay regional or if they go national. There are plenty of historical examples of large brewers that have died out by resting on their laurels when beers started to shelf turd.

Anybody else noticing an increase in humility/sincerity in @HouseofWortship lately? You didn’t have your sarcasm gland removed, did you?

I have heard rumors, again just talk from someone who knows someone, that 3 Floyds is in the process of acquiring the recently-closed Harley Davidson dealership on Calumet for their use as a new brewpub.

I've also heard talk that that rumor is just talk.

So now you know less than you did before reading this post.

Of all things that close during the pandemic, how in the world does a Harley dealer, 'merca?

It would actually be a great brewpub property - big front area with roll-up doors, and a warehouse area at the rear that would be big enough to accommodate a small pilot brewery in the back (wishful thinking on my part).

It would actually be a sweet brewpub property. Right on Calumet. And those roll-up doors all along the front would be great in the summer.

I heard, they are re-opening the Harley dealership as FFF Harley-Davidson. They are using 90% of the money from new Investor partners. In 6-months, they will close the Harley-Davidson dealership and then remodel it as a FFF Tile-Shop again with 90% investor funding. Then 6 months later, they will close the Tile-Shop and Open a Brew Pub. This way they will have a nice nest egg of investor funding built up to use on the Brew Pub, but not actually have to deal with any investors. Seems pretty cut and dry. Keep an eye out; the investor portal is opening up soon, get in while it's hot. Better returns than Crypto.

That Harley dealer would be an awesome spot for a new brewpub!

I just miss those cheese curds and a fresh zombie dust so much, and want this to be true
