I'm not sure I ever heard that news, I obviously don't remember, but at least it's still Three Floyds.

It's not like it's some contract brewed crap out of Florida like Toppling Goliath's failed endeavor.

Also, what if the old brewpub became....Warpigs Brewpub.

What I find interesting about this is all the sky is falling commenters, less so here than on social media, after news of the brewpub closing, with little recognition of how much beer they still produce, and even less to no discussion whatsoever that they actually have this extra space with no discernible plans to close or reduce production.

Wow, almost seems like a misprint to see Barrel Aged Blot out the Sun for $19/4-pack. I believe it was $25 a bomber last time it was released so this is a great deal if you can make it out there.

And my stop buying beer in the New Year resolution looks like it will end today....

I think people have a very skewed view of what makes a successful brewery. People are stuck thinking small, they think there must be a line out the door and Zombie Dust has to be impossible to find for them to be successful. They aren't seeing the volume of beer they are moving in grocery stores and larger chain stores. Just because it isn't selling out instantly anymore does not mean they aren't moving more volume overall.

I think many craft beer fans overestimate how much business "hype releases" really give breweries.

my resolution was only to stop buying adjunct stouts & hazy IPAs. So thankfully I can buy as much BA Blot as I want.

Turns out it was a mis-print and still is. I am near FFF tomorrow so going to head over to pick up a couple beers, especially Artic Panzer Wolf that was just released. When you put BA Blot out the Sun in the cart, the price changes to $23. Still a great deal, but just an FYI for anyone purchasing. I thought $19.00 sounded a little crazy based on what other breweries charge but FFF has always been more realistic with pricing, not to mention no sales tax!

Wow, just saw this. Very sad news indeed. First time we visited the brewpub was in 2013 and my wife and myself were super excited to visit. Waited outside for a table and had a great conversation with Doc Floyd as he watered the flowers out front. Then he took us out back and gave us a tour of the garden there. Loved the food there along with the atmosphere. Will be greatly missed....

Actually, it was 2012! Wish I knew how to share the pic of all the beautiful flowers and vines out front of the brewpub.

Rumors I started have it that they are closing the brewpub because they will focus on making Dark Lord Day a daily event.

I thought this year's was the best Alpha Klaus I'd ever had!

(But, then, it was the first Alpha Klaus I'd ever had!:grin:)

I buy a six pack every year and it wasn’t as chocolatey as usual? Hoppier? Not bad just seemed different

I seen 3F Flanders red with cherries at Malloys so I figured I’d treat myself lol. Haven’t tried this until now, but wow it’s definitely a sour as opposed to a fruited sour type that is mildly sour. Pucker up boys and girls, a lil pricey at $19/4 but definitely a change from traditional styles. Sours usually get better as they go imo, so we’ll see how this finishes. It’s pretty good so far.
